Hatchet Coffee

The best pumpkin latte & scone I’ve ever had! That maple whipped cream on top of the latte was freaking amazing. We also ordered some of it on the side to go with our scone 👌🏻 We tried the hazelnut latte as well, which definitely did not disappoint. We went here twice today when we stopped in Boone. The vibe is nice, filled with college kids working and business meetings. All the workers were super friendly and chill. Can’t wait to stop in here again when I’m in town!

Just went to Hatchet Coffee for the first time. THE BEST coffee I’ve ever had. I got an iced Carmel latte and will be coming back everyday now! Plus the service was wonderful!

We were in town for a business trip and decided to stop in to a coffee spot that was recommended to us. When you first walk in you are greeted from a shop set up that makes you feel like you're at a small merchant market. From the choice of buying bagged coffee, Boone hats, coffee cups, apparel and even honey sticks from near by. Then you make your way to the counter where you order.
Went twice and both times the customer service was superb. Asked in regards to flavor additives and the girl was very quick to list them off for us.
Went with a standard iced coffee with honey cinnamon(highly recommend) and an iced caramel latte.
Both drinks were made promptly and made with high quality beans.
The atmosphere of the place is nothing short of every millennials dream. Spacious seating. Great atmosphere to work in. Industrial feel with murals on the walls. Very bright and vibrant.
Not to mention the ample amount of outdoor seating that they offer and you're not sitting ontop of one and another.
Overall great space, great service and great coffee.
We will be back when we are back in Boone!

Super good place to stop, whether for a quick cup to go, or a longer stay with friends. The coffee was delicious, and the seasonal drinks are a wonderful addition. Lots of bagged coffee options as well. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and staff was pleasant and efficient.

Great little coffee shop in Boone, highly enjoyed it and took home the Honduras Californed light roast that I use every morning. The service was excellent. Highly recommend!

My coffee was luke warm after waiting a ridiculous amount of time. However on the upside the staff was super friendly and the place had an amazing fragrance!

Honestly Hatchet has become one of my top coffee shops to visit in the High Country. Growing up in Boone there weren’t a lot of options when it came to coffee shops, and Hatchet has changed that. Their seasonal drinks are amazing, as well as there normal pour overs and cold brew. Give them a visit if you haven’t, and support a fantastic local coffee shop.

Kind of a racist experience here. Wow! I was only here for a wedding, but if you are not white, don't expect the same service and warmth. As natural as it should be to everyone regardless of race or gender. Growing up in NYC, and coming to a small town here was a big shocker- it still happens and it still exists

First time in today and all I can say is WOW. The seasonal Strawberry Tres Leches is delicious. So glad I got the 16oz. Love that they have vegan/gf pastry options too! Chocolate chip cookie was super moist! Will definitely return!

When I came through Blowing Rock and Boone most recently, I just wanted a good espresso. Blowing Rock's premier haunt was okay, but not quite doing it; my favorite place by App State was under construction. On my way out of town, I found Hatchet—and my problem was solved.

I didn't have much time to appreciate the outdoorsy angle of Hatchet—as I understand it, they roast beans and market to hikers, campers, and/or climbers in some fashion—so I can only provide a one-dimensional insight into what I sensed was a multifaceted organization.

But their espresso: hoo, boy.

Wonderful. Rich, complex, subtle: delicious. A perfect end to my multi-day search.

On top of that, the environment in the store is wonderful, with a unique layout and friendly staff. Worth going out of your way to find it.
