My most favorite coffee shop in all of NC. Vibes are spot on, baristas are always amazing and kind and the coffee NEVER disappoints. From the basic coffee menu to the out of the box drink creations, you'll never go wrong with anything here! A visit to Hatchet is always the first and last thing we do when we go to Boone!

We started ordering hatchet beans early in the pandemic (we drink just so many pounds of their coffee each month…) and it has been the dream. The beans and roasts are excellent and they’re priced SO well. Plus they add fun little notes to the box. What a win! We also stop by the shop whenever we are up in Boone for a solid espresso drink and some good food.

Got two 16oz coffee’s with caramel syrup for $4 each. Great price for iced coffee’s and really chill environment.

Got the medium roast coffee (great) and their chocolate chip cookie, which was GF and had ingredients listed on the front (each is packaged separately, which seemed wasteful to me sustainability wise but maybe they thought I was to-go). Stayed and worked on my laptop for a while at the counter tables they have along the windows. The store and bathroom was incredibly clean, and the goods they have for sale were really cute, including some local jewelery. Nice big parking lot with a 'Plant Bus' selling plants and several picnic tables.

LOVE this cute lil coffee shop & all of the sweet people that work here!! 🙌🏼🫶🏼☕️✨ I am a black coffee drinker so I am a bit particular on what I like… they have a dark roast called the Blue Ridge Blend & it is DELICIOUS — so worth giving a try if you like dark roasts!
They also have cute little trinkets, coffee things, & merch you can buy, & there is a cute little bus outside the shop called the Plant Bustique that has the prettiest plants!! Such a cute spot & def will always always be a go-to coffee shop for me during my time here on the Heavenly Mountain✨

This was a cute place to have coffee in the morning on our way through town. They had a somewhat Seattle feel to their decorations and vibe. I did like all the different trinkets they sold including film and eco friendly accessories. They even had some cool swag to buy!

Hatchet is our destination for coffee any time we're remotely close to Boone. Their plain-ol-drip coffee is out of this world. We especially like the light roast. Their espresso drinks are incredible too. We also got some delicious bagels and a yummy muffin. 10/10 would recommend

I tried their dirty chai with their in-house made honey cinnamon syrup and really enjoyed it. I also made an absolute fool of myself and spilled the oat milk all over the counter and one of the baristas was very kind and helped clean up without making me feel dumb or more embarrassed. Definitely coming back when I'm visiting Boone again :)
