We come here at least one Friday a month for happy hour. Their tacos are all amazing, and all $2 during happy hour. Short rib and Pescado are my favorite, but the Carnitas and Al Pastor are close seconds.

For starters, the Elotes and warm Queso are spectacular.

They have great Wisconsin-made hot sauces, especially the pineapple one! And you can purchase them to takeaway too.

Rodrigo the bartender has a muddled Old Fashioned of his own creation that's amazing if you like to taste your liquor.

For dessert, the Churro is out-of-this-world amazing with dark chocolate dipping sauce. And the pumpkin flan is spectacular as well.

You can't go wrong here. Evanston's best taco joint, by far.

I never remember to take photos until after I have inhaled it all! Ingredients are fresh and flavorful, margaritas are not stingy! I'm a big fan of the Baja fish taco with mango, and the Nashville chicken taco.

I'm editing to add the chips and guac are a must, and their brunch, which I have finally started to frequent, is fab. Can't go wrong with the chilaquiles, but why not start with the churro waffles as a shared table app? :)

I decided to give this place another chance after experiencing terrible service 3 years ago. One of the boards I'm on had a meeting there and so I had to attend and did enjoy the tacos and margaritas and so I invited a group of friends to come back. We were 7 Latina moms and our children. We seated ourselves in a half empty makeshift street patio funded by taxpayer $ and went to the window to place an order. My friends were not treated with the same courtesy as my board colleagues and told that they would not be served because we didn't check in with the host and that there was a long wait. I walked to the host area and no one was waiting and multiple tables were empty on top of the multiple tables in the patio that were empty. It was especially hurtful to see the faces of our kids witnessing their mothers disrespected and refused service. They make their $$$ off our culture but this place is certainly #notforus.

We love this place. We order takeout regularly and love dining in as well. The tacos are perfectly flavored, their pozole is FABULOUS and keeps you warm and cozy all winter. Don't forget the churros! YUM. Also love their walk up window in the morning. Keep up the awesomeness!

The food is usually great, I just wish that they didn't give us a table with a big welcoming smile at 8:30 only to have that "you should be ashamed-the kitchen is closing and the food will be cold and you won't get silverware and I'll charge u for salsa without serving it and just ignore you now bc at this point I figure u won't tip me" energy. I still tipped 20% but would have preferred to not spend 80 bucks if the food wasn't going to be hot and the atmosphere rushed. My son has a stomach ache from the room temp mushroom tacos. I assumed it was open until 10. Please just turn folks away if you don't want to take on another table. I'll still go back, though! Happy it's a part of the neighborhood.

Good food with nicely paced service. Tables are a bit crowded and the room can be a little noisy.

Food is delicious, but the staffing and seating was odd. There were a lot of servers working and yet the poor bartender was serving an entire section that all got seated at once in addition to making drinks for the entire restaurant. We were never given silverware, water or refills due to this.
