They make a lovely cup of coffee to your specifications, and they have some quite tasty pastries. The vibe inside is chill and mellow.

Best coffee in town for sure. Best coffee in Virginia as far as I know. I can't say how much I love Shenandoah Joe because love is an inadequate word for how important this place is to me. If you love good coffee, Shenandoah Joe is the only choice in Charlottesville.

The coffee and chai was great and it seems a great place to study/focus. But the service wasn’t good. I asked the lady at the cash register a few questions about the menu and she didn’t answer any of them and acted very haughty. I didn’t want to stay after that.

Just when you thought the dark roast had been buried by the over-hyped and overly caffeinated light roast trend, we discover Shenandoah Joes, a shining beacon of hope for dark roast coffee lovers. They make a perfect Americano. Long live the dark roast and make this your coffee shop when in Charlottesville. Decor, layout, staff and parking are great. Lastly, the blueberry muffin is to die for.

The coffee's good although often times are out of certain Blends. The counter attendants are not very friendly and the t-shirts aren't always in stock

This is a hip coffee spot that is serious about coffee. Maybe a little too serious though (lighten up a little, guys). Bathrooms were clean, lots of spots to hang out and get some work done. Decor is industrial. They have some epic water bottles for sale too.

This is easily the best coffee I have had outside of Haiti, D. Selby's house, or sister Zahra's house.
Off the chart. Great coffee politics (fair trade and organic). The food is minimal and eh, but you don't go there for food; you go there for coffee, to do work, have a discussion with a good friend or all 3.

It's a lovely local cafe, they have indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is absolutely lovely and the coffee is incredible! They have coffee specials of the day. Lovely place

Huge place, but not enough seating. We had nowhere to go. Baristas did not seem happy to be there. They also jumped on the ugly, beat up furniture train with impractically placed tables. I guess this is trendy.

We ran across this place after enjoying their coffee at dinner one night, and we promptly ran out to buy some to take home! Wonderful atmosphere and staff, and delicious coffee!!
