Shenandoah Joe Coffee Roasters

I went in early this morning as I often do. Ashley made the best 4 shot cappuccino ever, ever. A true delight!

Nice and clean place. Friendly staff . Fresh coffee ☕️

Decent coffee and pastries. Not the best in Charlottesville. Nice space, but it takes forever to get your order between paying and them preparing the drink. Wish it had been the one time, but it's consistently slow.

This is the coffee roaster that all others are compared to in my mind. Each bean carefully roasted, each cup painstakingly brewed. If it gets better, I haven't found it yet.

In terms of selection and in terms of quality, Shenandoah Joe’s is the best coffee in Charlottesville. They take they’re coffee seriously and you can taste the difference. Plus, the staff is always warm and friendly. I highly recommend.

Great coffee in a beautiful space. Their pourover station makes me very jealous as a fellow barista! I had a great latte, and they have a vast drip coffee selection daily. This location also hosts the roastery, which is wonderful to see and smell while waiting for a drink.

While the staff is lovely, the owners are extremely rude. If there was any way to avoid them completely I might still visit, but as it stands, I would never give them my money.

Lots of coffee choices but I ordered a latte for someone and they gave me the drink. Turned out they made something else? I guess they typed in the wrong thing. Won't make it right. Maybe at a gas station but if you sell nice quality coffee it would be good to have them fix the mistake. Turns out they made an Americano instead of a latte? Felt a little snobby. But I just paid 6$ for a cup of coffee so what does that make me? Bougie I guess.

I love their coffee. It’s a decent roast, nothing too fancy but they have some great flavors.

But I wouldn’t recommend buying whole bean from their store. They charge $6 more for the same 1lb bag of coffee you can get at Harris Teeter/Kroger.

That being said I’ve been drinking their coffee exclusively at home for over two years and have no desire to switch.

Very nice staff and great setting, also they make their own whipped cream for their hot chocolate.. no one does that! It's so good!
