The coffee shop is a lovely place to relax and enjoy their selection of coffees. I highly recommend it!

Great coffee - both there and bagged to take home. Good selection of eats. It's a little large as a coffee shop, but that's probably personal. And the staff was very adept and efficient - but not always warm and friendly to someone older than most there.

The staff are awesome and the coffee is even better. My go-to order is a traditional cappuccino, which is just as good as you can get in Italy. The roasting house on Preston Ave is my favorite place to sit down with a crossword, a book, or my laptop. The only downside is that power outlets are sometimes limited.

I hate to leave such a negative review, but people need to know how bad the surrounding neighborhood is getting. I'm going to sound like a privileged Karen, but the last 3+ times I've gone to this location, I've been aggressively panhandled. The last time (today) this guy on a bike literally started cussing me out after I said I didn't have anything to give him (I didn't). I immediately packed up and left. I probably won't be going back any time soon.
The business as a whole is fine (aside from pretty high prices). Management should do something about the random people harassing their customers.

I’m from Roanoke and was looking for a good coffee shop while visiting Charlottesville. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Shenandoah. This is the best espresso I’ve had in a while and I love all the cozy seating. I had a delightful time sitting and reading, whilst sipping delicious coffee from one of their ceramic mugs.

Shenandoah Joe's is a lovely local coffee shop by Martin Hardware, across from the new Dairy Center.
The space is large which promotes social distancing, the seats and tables are usually plentiful, and the coffee is outstanding. Dining-in beverages seem quite large. Lovely pastries too, including gluten free selections.
The only drawback I can think of is the limited parking and the confusing intersection at Preston at 10th St.
