I was at the Rockets vs Jazz (Game 4) playoff game (5/6/18). This was my very first NBA game, let alone Jazz game. Overall my experience was fantastic, even though the Jazz lost (by a big margin). Obviously if the Jazz win, and you're a Jazz fan, the experience will be better than if they lose, but I'm going to write this review trying to not take in the variable of if the team wins or loses, and just review the arena for what it is.
There was a pre game "get together" in front of the arena where they had face painters, DJ, photo booths, Jazz gear merchants, etc. If you have a family with kids, I'd recommend coming at pre game to this little party, just to get their faces painted and some pictures taken. I'm not certain if this was just a playoff type of event, or if this is the standard before every Jazz game regardless if it's regular season or playoffs.
The entrance doors open 90 minutes before game time, and the crowd to lineup gets very long. I'd recommend getting to the arena 2 hours prior to game time, just so you can be one of the first people in line, since being one of the first to get into the arena is great. I was able to get some pretty incredible pictures of the arena (especially a panorama of the stadium with the yellow t shirts on every seat without anyone actually in the arena).
You are allowed to get pretty close to the floor during team warm-ups, all the way up to about row 5. If you're a big fan of basketball, there's nothing better than watching pro athletes warm up. Watching their warm up routines, seeing how big and tall (or small) the players are in real life, and just being so close to them in general is pretty awesome. Yes, Joe Ingles really does look like an average Joe plumber out there, and yes, James Harden's beard is pretty biblical.
The food at the arena (and everything in general) is pretty expensive, which really isn't a surprise taking into consideration that's how every sports event is. This was my first time being in SLC on a Sunday, and I planned on pre gaming at one of the restaurants prior to the game, but what I found out was that EVERYTHING IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS. I had to get some food at the arena ($15 for chicken fingers, tots, and soda), and I'd highly recommend not getting any food here and just pre gaming at a restaurant or somewhere else. Just felt like a waste of money (the chicken fingers weren't hot, the tots were soggy), but this isn't the fault of the actual arena, but the food vendor instead.
Overall, I really loved the whole experience, and can't wait to attend more games. If you had a choice between attending 2-3 regular season games vs 1 playoff game, I'd highly recommend a playoff game. The atmosphere and the vibe is really fun, and you might see some stars in the arena. I'd also highly recommend making an attempt to be at the stadium 2 hours prior to game start, and being one of the first entering the arena.
This is a 5 star experience, if you're a Jazz fan, you'll enjoy this place. Now that the Jazz have a bright future with Mitchell, Rubio, Royce, Joe, Rudy, Crowder, etc, I expect the popularity of the Jazz to increase.
P.S.: I had my tickets on their Smartphone app, entrance was easy. Bathrooms get CROWDED during half time, so plan accordingly. Parking can get frustrating, especially if the game ISN'T on a Sunday, but I stayed at a hotel within walking distance of the arena (Econo Lodge Downtown), just to avoid any parking headaches.

Seeing a concert here was amazing! So many good food vendors, and the sound quality was beyond perfect.

Great for first time at a jazz game prices are a little higher at the concession stands but I expected that overall fun experience nice place for kids and adults nice to see the game area where kids can shoot hoops and play bean bag toss.👍

This place is pretty nice to visit. They are a smooth operating venue. Get you in and seated quickly. Lots of friendly staff to help you with your needs. Audio in here is not very good for concerts. It is too harsh and bounces off the concrete too much. Maverick Center is better for concerts.

I've been going here since it was the Delta center. So many events were attended since i was a kid from disney on ice to basketball games to tons of concerts. It will always be one of my favorite places. They have so many food and snack options now that it is so nice. They have pizza and cheesesteaks and gelato and fresh cookies and chick fil a and all sorts of things. This place is the best! So many memories for my family were made here when i was a kid. My mom and dad always took us to see the circus and disney on ice. My mom has passed on but i look forward to taking my kids to disney on ice and concerts when they're older.

Highly disappointed that I was unable to bring in my handheld camera to take some cool action shots of the SLC Stars! Was advised I could take it back to leave in my car or leave it in the rickety bag check shipping container out front of the building.... Hard pass. Thanks for making me miss the game!!

We’ve been to a few concerts here, have always enjoyed it. Saw a transiberian orchestra here recently, they had nice seating and the sound seemed really smooth. I’m not especially knowledgeable on sound quality but i didn’t notice anything bad about it. Getting in was quick and easy, ushers directed us to our seats quickly. If you are on the lower levels, there’s a floor below the main floor that has its own entrances to the lower areas. You need to find the stairs to get down there but theres hardly a soul below and getting around is easy with no crowds.

Saw Muse here and boy did the sound and lights quality blow me away! This is the best place to go to a concert let me tell you. Bathrooms are close which is a must while drinking. Seats had amazing views from the first row up top on the balcony. Has even an smoke area. Beers are pricey but it was worth it 😋
