Wife and I just dined here and it was fantastic! We shared the Fried Zucchini app which was hot, crispy and topped with shredded parmesan and Chipotle ranch on the side. She got the Carlsbad Bennie (Benedict) and I got the Buckhorn Burger. Portions were huge, everything was seasoned well and came out in a timely manner even though they were busy. Staff were friendly, attentive and utilized good teamwork to help each other's guests with drink refills and other needs. This is a must-try establishment if you're in the area!

My family loved Sunset Grill's menu options! I had probably one of the most amazing eggs Benedict with ham, cheese, a poached egg and the most delicious hollandaise sauce I've ever encountered. My Mom had the ones with crabcakes, it was also amazing. The other items ordered were a California omlet and the absolutely must try Banana caramel pecan french toast. Its a definite must try but its a huge portion so maybe opt to share it with a friend. Coffee was excellent and request patio seating if you are nervous about social distancing. Everyone is following the mask rules and what not, but it was Sunday lunch which was quite crowded.

We came here for breakfast today and it was one busy Sunday! Only seating available was in the back on the bar top, we were hungry so we took it. Bobby, our server was also the expo and answering phones, was on FIRE!! Having been an expo myself, I know how chaotic it can be, but Bobby managed it extremely well. I had the French toast with peaches, boyfriend ordered the Santa Fe omelette, biscuit and gravy. The French toast was definitely on point, with fresh sautéed peaches, pecans and whipped cream. The omelette had incredible flavor, the potatoes were perfectly cooked and the gravy was phenomenal. I am so glad we found a new favorite breakfast place!

Service was excellent and so was the food. I got the blueberry pancakes, potato’s, and biscuits with gravy.

We ate at the bar top and Alicia was attentive and amazing throughout the whole experience while putting out orders for the rest of the restaurant. The food is top notch and I would recommend this place for anyone coming to town.

Menu was interesting but when we got the food? It was delicious! Passion fruit tea was great! The atmosphere was very pleasant and despite our Texas heat, sitting outside is worth it!! There's always a wait for big parties but perfect for a romantic brunch for 2!!

Five stars are a difficult task to achieve from me, but I found a couple on a recent trip. The Sunset Grill in Fredericksburg, TX is clearly one of them. Set on State Highway 16 just a few blocks south of Main St in Fredericksburg, you might miss the Sunset Grill if you are not paying attention, and that would be an incredible shame.

I chose to start my morning off with the Ham Steak and Eggs, a thick-cut slab of country ham served with your style of eggs, those incredible pan-fried potatoes and your choice of bread. The eggs were perfectly done and the ham was wonderful, but what sold the whole place were those potatoes. The pan-fried potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned and could have made an entire meal themselves.

My son tried The California omlette an I have to say, I was fairly impressed with that myself. It is an omlette made from applewood smoked bacon, red onions, cheddar and Jack cheese, topped with sliced avocado. Every bite was packed with flavor and I almost wished I ordered it myself.

If you find yourself in Fredericksburg and want to got to the Sunset Grill, go early. It is a popular stop. The staff was friendly, accommodating and fast. The food was wonderful and is sourced locally. You could tell by the coloring and the flavor that the eggs were traditionally farm raised, along with whatever else they can obtain from the local markets. This little place definitely deserves the fifth star.

If you're looking for a fabulous breakfast with large portions and tasty fresh ingredients then the Sunset Grill is the place for you. My husband and I liked it so much that we went there 2 days in a row and neither time disappointed. The staff is friendly and the coffee is hot fresh and tasty. I highly recommend having the French toast, the big ass breakfast sandwich, and the breakfast plate or Benedict dishes. The prices are great but it is a small restaurant and can't get quite busy so hit up the spot early in the morning or be prepared to wait about 15 to 20 minutes. It is well worth the wait and I must stop on your culinary Adventure in Fredericksburg.

Very cozy breakfast spot. The food was good with a taste of grandmother’s kitchen. I was very hungry so i barely took pictures of my meal, a Mexican style omelette with potatoes and toast. I thoroughly enjoyed my blueberry pancake. Getting seated was quick, food was also out quick and the price point was very good for the quality of the food. I will say this, it was very busy and crowded within a small space, so if covid is a concern for you I would try going on a none weekend or holiday. That would of been my only hesitation if I would of known beforehand. Finally, staff was friendly and polite.
