Sunset Grill

This.place is nice...clean, perfect for a breakfast joint. The food was impeccable. We had the smoked salmon Benedict and the Carlsbad Benedict (crab cakes). Eggs were cooked perfectly, the hollandaise was wonderful.
Service was poor, at best! When we received notice that the table was ready, we were pointed to a table that had just been sprayed, not wiped, along with the receipts from the previous customer. The waitress did not smile, was not happy to be there and was not pleasant. Also, she wasn't wearing mask or gloves. I should note, I really don't care about that, but if it's the law, perhaps it should be followed. Stop in for the food, but this is a case where the service detracts from the restaurant experience. I say decide what's more important for you...the food or the service.

This place was recommended to us so we decided to give it a try and boy we're sure glad we did, the food was so DELICIOUS and the staff was really nice. We recommend the pancakes, biscuit, eggs, bacon and of course the mimosas. It does get pack so I do recommend you go early. But other then that we LOVED this place so much that we went back a second time before going back home. I definitely recommend this place 110%. You will not regret it, not even the wait.... We'll definitely be going back, hopefully soon.

If I could rate this place with 10 stars, I would. Best food we ate in Fredericksburg. It was also one of the least expensive tabs we had. Bobby was amazing!!! He deserves 5 stars on his own. Definitely 100% would recommend this place!

Chose this place out of the blue to grab a quick bite for lunch. New to Fredericksburg we thought we would give the Sunset Grill a try. Pretty straightforward menu with enough choices to suit any appetite. Our server Paulette was on top of her game, helping us to enjoy our lunch. My burger was scrumptious and hearty. My better half dined on the Southwestern Cob Salad which was quite pleasing.

Relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for tourists without anyplace to be as service can be slow. Variety of items on the menu accommodates most palates. Pictured is New Orleans-inspired Eggs Benedict with grilled shrimp and Andouille sausage

The food was excellent, having to wait 1 hr and 35 mins for a table was not. Once we got seated and ordered, we did not have to wait long for the food and it was very good, the portion size was generous and the price was fair. I had the special of the day- Egg Sardou- and it was delicious.

It was one of the greatest breakfast places we have gone to! The food was great, the drinks were satisfying, and the waitress, Caiti, was phenomenal. Thank you for such a great experience. This is a must place to eat at in Fredericksburg!!!

Food is great. I love finding a place where they obviously care about the details. Must be an excellent kitchen staff.
