Mel's Diner

We were driving by and decided to stop on a whim. Cute little diner with good food. Friendly staff. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to stop at. We had pancakes that were huge, the kids loved their milkshakes, club house sandwich, I thought it wouldn't be processed meat, but still very tasty, and a hamburger. In the end would stop there again instead of a chain restaurant if we were passing by.

Food was ok grits were a little grease eggs were good biscuit was a little over done bit not bad and not stale. Service isn't bad once they get to you. The dinner is like a blast out of the past old school for real. Price is not bad at all. I will have to come back during the summer and check it out again.

We stopped here for breakfast and I have to say the blueberry pancakes are to die for! This little diner is very unique, homey and comfortable. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The food is honest to goodness true home cooked food.

We stop at Mel’s on our way home from the beach every year. Excellent breakfast! Service is great and the atmosphere is nostalgic and fun. Love this place!

Mel’s dinner is great place food was good. Service was excellent and the people at Mel’s greeted there guests and appreciated your business. The burgers and milkshakes were great. Sorry no food pics

Good food, lovely people. Classic Americana vibes inside this diner. Food came out fast and it was all delicious and affordable.

We waited over an hour and walked out after the people next to us at the counter who came in after us were served their meals before us. Our waitress was very nice. We felt bad for her. Obviously a poorly run kitchen. Wouldn’t recommend or stop again.

Loved all the old items hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. Got the BBQ platter that was the special. They leave it plain and give you sauce. BBQ was so good it did not need sauce. First time there ever passed it for over 15 yrs. Close enough to house, we can go for time out
