Mel's Diner

Nice place and friendly staff. Food not as good as it used to be. I can go to a fast food restaurant and get a hamburger all the way cheaper than going here, getting what looked like a frozen box hamburger on a bun that fell apart when I picked it up. Not to mention that it cost extra to get lettuce, tomato and onions. I can see extra for bacon or cheese but come on you expect me to est a hamburgerwith mayo only? I got about 12-13 french fries. Quantity of food for price is not good.

Great lunch place. Waitress is definitely happy with her job as we heard her humming a few times, lol. Food came quickly, hand made shakes were a tasty treat.

Would not recommend eating here. The service was slow and the waitress forgot our sides and forgot my drink. The fries were good, but the burger looked like it was out of a frozen box.
Over wouldn't go again.

Great Mom and Pop restaurant, we stopped her for breakfast and it was very good. The staff was very kind and helpful. We are all about supporting local restaurants.

Very pleasant experience. Great diner atmosphere with excellent service and down home hospitality. Menu is what one would expect from a diner...and changing specials sounded wonderful. Definitely worth a visit!

This place was amazing. Wonderful service, fabulous waitress, amazing food. You won't leave unhappy or hungry.

Let me start out by saying I eat at this diner very often with my husband and our friend and I have never seen one thing get microwaved. YES they are short on staff so mrs. ELLA is really the only waitress in the mornings and she could waitress circles around all these inexperienced young girls that get hired and do nothing. MRS. Ella has worked there for almost 25 years and she is the best waitress I've ever had. The breakfast is always good never any complaints. I will continue eating breakfast here while mrs. Ella works here at mels diner. If she were to leave even though the food Is good i would go with Ella. I would absolutely refer this restaurant to anyone that enjoys a good diner. The decor is great every time I thought I had seen everything I find something new to look at. It's great. See y'all soon. With our usual order

The food was delicious. The tourist don't know what they are missing out on. Best burger I have ever had. Fresh seafood from Wancheese .Cannot get any fresher.

First time trying out. We have wanted to and finally did. We ate for breakfast. We enjoyed it. The staff and atmosphere is exactly what they building portrays. Quiet and cozy, old school and friendly. Felt at home. Will definitely go back.

The worst food we have had in a LONG time. Ordered 2 shrimp baskets and a kids Mac n cheese and fries. The shrimp were awful and we only got 8 tiny shrimp a piece and they were super over cooked and a little fishy. Fries were bland and the cole slaw was so odd and sour. The Mac n cheese was definitely from a box looked like Kraft Mac n cheese. We literally did not even touch our food. Asked for the check right away and left. The price was also super high for the quality and quantity of the food. I am a local and it’s not wonder we’ve never been recommend this place. Never again.
