From the business

"Hub Cafe has its roots at Branched Oak Farm, a certified organic, grass-based dairy. The dream began to blossom in the summer of 2014 when the city of Lincoln and the Great Plains Trails Network agreed to share the vision for the cafe space. The project came to life with a combined passion for bringing authentic and delicious, healthy and locally-sourced food to Lincoln. Since opening in late January 2016, Hub Cafe has shown itself to be a comfortable and affordable coffee shop, breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner venue with great local brews on tap and a thoughtful wine list. We provide delicious, vegetarian-friendly, creative, and modern menu choices that are created with food sourced primarily in our food community."

Wanted to find a new breakfast place, and this is what the Google gave me. Nice, for the most part. Really nice space with good morning sun. I went at 8:30 on a weekday morning, and it was quite busy and getting busier, so I can see the wait being a problem at later times or weekends. My food came in about 15 minutes, no problem. I got the basic breakfast, 2 eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes. Really good toast and schmear of some kind of tasty spreadable cheese. Perfect bacon. Potatoes well cooked, but no seasoning whatsoever. I ordered over medium eggs, and one of the yolks was broken and cooked into the white. No big deal, but my friends in the industry all say that when that happens, ya start over with a new egg. I'll definitely be back and try something else, and I'll definitely go early!

Great location, it makes me feel in a garden.
The mocha is excellent!

There was nothing fresh about this place. The tortillas in the huevo rancheros tasted like they were microwaved in the plastic they come in. The gyro bowl had very little meat which was all fatty grisley and no flavor. They have a mask mandate but you are touching everything and have to clean up your own plates. I don't mind doing that but for the price you pay and the atmosphere they should. Manager was friendly, but staff was rude. This was our first time and it was the last time. If it was possible to give a no Star I would.

Waited in Line for 20 minutes. No big deal. We went there to have breakfast and they asked if we would like to get a drink and scone or something instead bc they are behind. Waited for 45 minutes for breakfast potatoes and they were burned. Sad for what we paid…won’t be back.

OK food. Horrible service. Too many tables in a small area

The food was really good. The sausage was a little under cooked., but overall really good.

Amazing skillet and soup. Worst chai latte of my life. So bitter and hard to enjoy. Sugar doesn't help

I have been here 3 times now and have had one good experience out of it, which is really unfortunate. I love the atmosphere and the ingredients used in the menu options (especially the vegetarian options), which is the only reason for the two stars as opposed to one. Two of the times I’ve been here now, it’s taken an hour+ after ordering to receive my food. I wanted to introduce my boyfriend to the Hub Café today to have a nice “breakfast” with him, but we didn’t end up receiving our food until closer to 11AM. One thing that easily could have made the long wait slightly better would have been better customer service and communication from the staff. I hate writing this but I don’t want the same thing happening to someone else!

A favorite brunch place. Great food and drinks. It's a pretty popular place though. If you're going with a large party at a popular time, be ready to wait for a table. They do have some outdoor dining but I wish they had more. All in all, this is a great place

Food was surprisingly good. Went in a group of 6, everyone was happy with thier meals. Does get pretty busy, and they seemed a little under staffed (but isn't every place these days?) Seems like the most intentionally inclusive spot in Lincoln. Try going on a rainy day. There are far fewer people there when people are not out riding their bikes!
