The best food in Lincoln, no question. Rachel and the kitchen staff are magic. John and the whole service team are knowledgeable, attentive, and fun to spend the evening with. Plan to take in the whole experience from the sharable starters, to beautiful main dishes, and don't forget dessert. I am not even a dessert person and I am still thinking about the butterscotch. Bring friends. Tell your family. Support this amazing local restaurant because Lincoln is lucky to have it!

For an appetizer I had bacon, corn and barley. It was good, a little salty for my taste, but I put salt on almost nothing. So take that for what it's worth.
For dinner I had the fried chicken with lentils and sweet potato mash. The fried chicken was very tender and fresh, a solid flavor, but basic. The sweet potato mash was cold, which I had never had before (cold sweet potatoes), and now I know why, yuck. Sweet potatoes for me should always be warm. This was a bummer for me for two reasons, one the cold temp, and two because I was expecting a "side" of sweet potatoes, what came as you can see in the picture is four small tablespoons of it. The lentils and corn tasted a lot like my appetizer in terms of seasoning.
Service was not up to par. My waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and kept checking on me, but smiled exactly one time and didn't seem to be too happy to be helping me. Food came slowly, but that didn't bother me as I wasn't in a hurry and I suspect the fried chicken was breaded and made to order.
The chef changes the menu seasonally which is super cool, so don't expect to see what I ate on the menu when you come (I made that mistake with a picture I saw).

In my opinion Dish is the best restaurant Lincoln has to offer. The utmost attention is paid to sourcing high quality ingredients, wonderful creativity and diversity on the menu, and perfect execution on top of it all.
Prepare to spend $30-$50 per person or $50-$100 with cocktails/wine.
The wine list isn’t exhaustive but is very well thought out and good quality.

Though the portions are smaller for the prices, the flavor of the food is fantastic. The smoked beets are some of the best I've ever had. The flavor of the salmon was awesome all the extras that came with it were good. The horchata sorbet was delightful. Drinks were delightful. I wasn't disappointed.

Hands down the best restaurant in Lincoln. Resisted coming here for so long and I don’t why (I’ve lived in Lincoln for 2.5 years and *just* finally went). This is the sort of fine dining experience typically reserved for NY, San Fran, Chicago, I’d argue, and I’m so very glad it’s here. The hot chicken with honey butter (see picture) was the absolute best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Period. (I would eat just those chicken skins on their own for days.) Ultimately ordered 7 dishes and everything was exquisitely crafted, nuanced in flavor. Can’t wait to try their brunch.

Creative menu and creations. Classics and modern takes on them, with lots of nice supplements from house pickled items.
The fried chicken sliders are one of the best versions of a fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. Tbh I'd become a regular here just for that if I lived locally.

Exceptional food and very hospitable staff. The miso seared salmon with yellow curry sauce was delightful. The squash “donuts” are a must—the hot sauce they are served with adds the perfect accent.
The cocktail program was okay. House drinks were too sweet for my palate, and staff wasn’t knowledgeable of classic cocktails like the martini or Negroni.
Overall, a great experience! Highly recommended.

A good attempt at sophisticated presentation of New American cuisine. The starters seemed stronger; loved the baby squash (zucchini slices) and especially the roasted beets. The fried chicken was pretty good but got a little boring towards the end. The chile tofu ramen reminded us more of dan dan noodles than ramen. The shoyu egg in the ramen was way too salty. Service could have been better; server didn’t ask if we wanted another drink and then seemed to have forgotten our order until we asked another server midway through our main course. Decided to skip dessert after that. But mostly a positive experience.
