Tried this place yesterday for some sandwiches. I like to try to support local establishments and I have to say this one was a disappointment. We paid over $24 for two sandwiches which wouldn't have been a problem if they were good and made correctly. They were supposed to be the hub decker. But on both the bacon was missing and one had no chicken on it. Both were slopped together, where they had only ham on half and also had meat all balled up on one part of the sandwich. There was minimal cheese on both sandwiches. And they were supposed to be toasted, which maybe this place it just meant something else. But the bread was toasted but the meat was cold (like it came right out of the fridge). They were small and put together horribly with out all the ingredients. The place wasn't busy and it was around 6 when we stopped in. I would say Subway was better, you pay way less and get more food. I miss the sub place that used to be there before as that was better. These were expensive and very mediocre. Can't say we are likely to go back as there are other good sandwich places in the area.
Toxic work environment. Its a great place if you want an easy job with good pay, but theres constantly a morning vs. Night crew mentality going on and the blame game is strong. I never worked with the manager while here because he only worked with the day/morning crew, creating this competitive mindset. The food was often moldy and i would refuse to even eat food here myself. Only once was i complimented and told i was doing a good job and that was when the boss walked in. the hours were never garunteed as youd only get 6 hours one week and 24 the next. the people i worked with were the only reason i stayed as long as i did (almost a year) but i couldnt take the emotional stress of being blamed for everything anymore, it was constant. youd never get any compliments, nobody said "good job" youd spend 3 hours scrubbing everything only to be told you missed a spot in the microwave. there would be days we were told (the nightcrew only) to pull the line coolers out and scrub under them while still open, so we'd be making customer orders while stepping over others scrubbing the floors. only 1-2 people would work at night while 5-6 people worked morning.
Terrible management. Melanie the Store Manager commits wage theft and will refuse to give her employees paystubs before she fixes any of her "mistakes"
Expired food is used regularly and the 50 year old ladies in the kitchen will show you how to make the food wrong if they don't like you, extremely unprofessional and toxic work environment.
Don't spend your money here, this is coming from a former employee.
Wow! Started a delivery job in town here and went to Hub Cafe for the first time. The donuts looked amazing. Had to try one. I can safely say in my 46 years on earth & ND being the 15th State I've lived in that I've never had such a good donut. Really unbelievably good! Tried the chocolate swirl traditional donut and was filled with custard. To me, Dunkin Donuts & Krispy Kreme have nothing on Hub Cafe.

Just paid $8.05 for the most watered-down Zinger I've ever had. Save your money and go elsewhere
