From the business

"Hub Cafe has its roots at Branched Oak Farm, a certified organic, grass-based dairy. The dream began to blossom in the summer of 2014 when the city of Lincoln and the Great Plains Trails Network agreed to share the vision for the cafe space. The project came to life with a combined passion for bringing authentic and delicious, healthy and locally-sourced food to Lincoln. Since opening in late January 2016, Hub Cafe has shown itself to be a comfortable and affordable coffee shop, breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner venue with great local brews on tap and a thoughtful wine list. We provide delicious, vegetarian-friendly, creative, and modern menu choices that are created with food sourced primarily in our food community."

My absolute favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Lincoln! Incredible fresh ingredients - farm to table! They have a great menu and atmosphere. In the warmer weather I love to enjoy the outdoor seating. You walk in and order at the counter - they will bring your food to you! Highly recommend checking out The Hub Cafe! ☕️

They do not offer decaf at all here so if that is something you are looking for, I would not recommend.

The water station had dirty glasses where the clean ones should have been.
If you are missing something from the table, I did find a lot of things were at the front such as salt and pepper.
Service was hit and miss.
The person who brought us our food was very friendly and offered assistance when he noticed we were missing something.

I went with people who are from Lincoln. They informed me the food menu changes quite regularly.

The food is beautifully presented and comes with a nice salad. I found it if I added a touch of salt it was delicious.

The tacos were a skip. 3 stars. I could eat them but the flavors just weren't working for me.
I didn't really get a good taste of the banh mi.
The grilled cheese was fine. 4 stars

Parking is available in a small private lot. It's kind of like Street parking honestly, but it's free.

The perfect spot for a late weekend brunch! We got the avocado toast, the breakfast skillet and the French toast to split. Fairly priced too for the amount of food you get, and worked out well to share a few options off the menu! Love that they focus on local sourced and sustainable food too. Delicious food and quick service! Would definitely recommend this spot.

Came here for a great Sunday breakfast. Saw they were apart of the 2022 Nebraska Passport challenge so decided to come back here and I’m so glad I did!! The people working were very kind. This place gets really busy so if waiting is a problem for you choose somewhere else, but the food really is worth it. I got the Hub Skillet and everything tasted so fresh and flavorful I will be full for hours and I will definitely be coming back here soon. They have a good amount of seating and it is really good to see how much they support different activities and groups in Lincoln.

I'm not a traditional breakfast food fan and it's usually difficult to find something that I like to eat before work. This restaurant exceeded my expectations starting with the friendly and welcoming service. I was given ample suggestions which made the decision process much easier. I chose the avocado and hummus sandwich which came with a side salad. This meal was top notch. The ingredients were fresh, the taste was amazing, I mean every single ingredient was made with love. Every time I travel to Lincoln, NE (I hail from Chicago) this will be where I have breakfast. Thank you for such an amazing experience.

Very, very good breakfast food! Have options for everyone, you're bound to see something you'll like. Great cozy atmosphere, but not a lot of indoor seating and outdoor seating isn't covered. Goes from cozy to cramped real fast when busy, but the food is still super delicious!

My French toast was delicious, and the coffee was good. The food was so good I couldn’t take a picture fast enough before eating some. There was a long line to order at the register, and then they brought food to where you were sitting. Long lines are always a sign of good food, and we weren’t disappointed. As icing on the cake, all the staff was very friendly.

Ham and swiss cheese omelette with roasted potatoes and toast great way to start the day. Order it at the counter and your breakfast is brought to your table. Don't forget to have a bloody mary or a mimosa with your breakfast. And get a lemonade to go for a walk around the park.

Food was fantastic but the wait even after ordering was longer than anticipated. Probably the best biscuit I have had in Lincoln thus far. May be willing to go back but definitely not on a Sunday. Seating options, there were none. Biggest conflict was the seating right by the door. I prefer not to have people standing over me while I am eating.

Busy/Fun place to hang with your hipster friends. The food is unique and tasty. Coffee bar style order at the register and clear your own dishes at the end. Located right on the bike path. Great place for a cool drink and a seat outside in the summer.
