Review of The Hub Cafe
The Hub Cafe is a charming and inviting restaurant located at 250 N 21st St #3, Lincoln, NE 68503. As a breakfast restaurant and cafe, it offers a clever and creative menu that features locally sourced ingredients. The cafe prides itself on providing a chill and convivial setting where customers can enjoy their meals.
The story behind The Hub Cafe is truly inspiring. It originated from Branched Oak Farm, a certified organic, grass-based dairy. The owners had a vision of bringing authentic, healthy, and locally-sourced food to Lincoln, and that dream became a reality in late January 2016. Since then, The Hub Cafe has become a comfortable and affordable coffee shop, breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner venue.
One of the highlights of The Hub Cafe is its commitment to using primarily vegetarian-friendly ingredients. The menu is filled with creative and modern choices that cater to a variety of tastes. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply looking for a delicious meal, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings.
The Hub Cafe has received mixed reviews from customers. While some have praised the friendly and welcoming service, others have expressed disappointment with the quality of food and service. It's important to note that experiences may vary, and it's always best to try it for yourself.
The cafe is open from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM from Tuesday to Sunday, providing ample opportunity to enjoy a delightful breakfast or brunch. Unfortunately, The Hub Cafe is closed on Mondays.
If you're looking for a cafe that offers clever and creative fare with locally sourced ingredients, The Hub Cafe is worth a visit. Its chill and convivial setting make it a great place to enjoy a delicious meal and a cup of coffee.
From the business
"Hub Cafe has its roots at Branched Oak Farm, a certified organic, grass-based dairy. The dream began to blossom in the summer of 2014 when the city of Lincoln and the Great Plains Trails Network agreed to share the vision for the cafe space. The project came to life with a combined passion for bringing authentic and delicious, healthy and locally-sourced food to Lincoln. Since opening in late January 2016, Hub Cafe has shown itself to be a comfortable and affordable coffee shop, breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner venue with great local brews on tap and a thoughtful wine list. We provide delicious, vegetarian-friendly, creative, and modern menu choices that are created with food sourced primarily in our food community."

We were there on a Sunday morning and excpect it to be busy and there would probably be a wait time. There were three people on our party and we placed seperate orders. Little did we know that apparently takes long for the orders to be processed. One person got their food and started to eat. When she was easily halfway through her meal, person number two received hers. Person number three is still waiting while one finishes and two is about halfway through her meal. Number three finally gets her meal. Did I mention, the first person to order (avocado toast, one egg and a side of bacon) was the last served? Oh, and that many people who ordered after got their food first? Some even finished and were on their way out the door. The food was good but it would be great if orders were timed a bit better. I would recommend this restaurant and would return but, beware, you may wait awhile and not have your entire group served together.

Amazing breakfast spot. So many good menu options. Locally sourced ingredients as well.
I came for lunch this time, didn’t realize they had a different menu! It was quite good as well.

Expensive. 2 small plates of biscuits and gravy and a coffee cost me $32 with tip. Double what other places would charge. The sausage wasn't tasty. The service was slow and spotty with the waiters constantly struggling to find their patrons. There has to be a better system in this regard.

A walk away from my place and my roommates and I'd go to for meeting with other people.
Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch is always good.
Never been disappointed.
French toast is a common favorite.
Tacos were slightly dry but nothing bad, the flavor was a amazing.
You can tell everything is made well
My go to is definitely a hot chai with vanilla and almond milk

If you enjoy healthy and FLAVORFUL food, The Hub Cafe is a must. I am here visiting from NYC and the quality of the vegan/veg options here stacks up amongst the best I’ve had. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly. I ordered the breakfast bowl/soup (two days in a row) and they were on point!!!

Not sure what happened, but it's not the same. The food we ordered was all bland no salt. No flavor and also cold. Coffee taste like burnt molasses. Service was slow and not very friendly. Used to be one of my favorite places. Not no more!

Just had a horrible experience with one of your staff members. I would like to talk the situation over with someone of ownership or management.

Possible the best breakfast I've ever had (Chicken Bulgogi Tacos)! Great food, friendly staff, excellent coffee/espresso drinks!
