From the business

"Hub Cafe has its roots at Branched Oak Farm, a certified organic, grass-based dairy. The dream began to blossom in the summer of 2014 when the city of Lincoln and the Great Plains Trails Network agreed to share the vision for the cafe space. The project came to life with a combined passion for bringing authentic and delicious, healthy and locally-sourced food to Lincoln. Since opening in late January 2016, Hub Cafe has shown itself to be a comfortable and affordable coffee shop, breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner venue with great local brews on tap and a thoughtful wine list. We provide delicious, vegetarian-friendly, creative, and modern menu choices that are created with food sourced primarily in our food community."

Called in to make a to go order bc I'm horrendously ill and just wanted to send hubby in to grab something fast and healthy. They said they were not "capable" of doing so and I'd have to come in person. Later, when looking over the website I noticed an online ordering system that was not mentioned. Hubby ran out to order in person and is told that the grain bowls are part of the "breakfast only" menu and they are only able to serve from a very limited "lunch only" menu and the grain bowls were not a part of it. On their website there was nothing that stated that, and actually does not state a separate "breakfast" or "lunch" menu. I found a menu online that clearly states breakfast is served "all day". Being a chef and former restaurant manager this really disappoints big time. I would suggest updating your website if this is the case, or hire a chef that can handle the task. Smh. Got a Panera bread grain bowl instead, it was delicious.

This place is awesome except do not order the skillet, under prepared and half the dish was burned leaf. Also I came one time wearing cargo shorts and striped polo and five workers with septum piercings told me 'my energy' wasn't 'local enough' and refused to serve me. This drove me to become a more authentic person with one finger on the pulse, however, and I have to thank them for that along with the fantastic biscuits and gravy.

The customer service was excellent and the Food is delectable! Perfect place to relax outside and appreciate the view.

Feels like a big city restaurant. With healthy wholesome choices. Always have a good experience here.

I went here with my friend and it doesn't really deserve it's rating. I would rather go to Engine House. It's one of those places for hipsters. Keep in mind that this place is expensive too. I'm glad at least I did try it.

They make a great chai tea latte! Also, the food is locally sourced...great support of local producers! Their lunch service is fantastic!

Expected a 4-5 experience. Got the days breakfast special. Omelette with Bacon. Omelette was so overcooked and had no bacon. When I finally got the 2 pieces that were supposed to be in the omelette, they lay in a puddle is grease on the plate. That could have been ok but it came after I asked for something for my dry toast. Butter, a spot of jam, or something. The cook was ranting about people expecting free. Repeatedly. An omelette with a half piece of dry toast for $1400 isn’t free. I’ve come across this attitude here before. They have good food but aren’t customer focused. Could be why I often find this place less than it used to be.

Excellent location right along the Billy Wolff Trail. Sadly both times I've been there was a huge line.

Local food, dog friendly, delicious dishes, picturesque outdoor seating. A must stop in Lincoln and a weekly return for the Wednesday Farmers Market.

I had the Grown Up Grilled Cheese! It was yummy, muenster cheese with pesto and a salad on top. It didn't fill me up, but definitely satisfied my hunger. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a new spot with calm vibes.

The lemonade was either handmade or the most synthetic minute maid I've ever had in my life.
