This is the Cafe du Monde location to go to avoid long lines. It is also a nice walk along the riverfront to get to the riverfront mall where it is located.
I always order beignets without sugar which they do serve hot and fresh. Always a bit too dense but tasty and among the best in NOLA.

Lived up the hype! Came mid afternoon for a snack and was in time for fresh out of the fryer beignets. Fluffy yet crispy on the outside, the beignets were just perfect. The cafe au lait is really really good - not your typical chain product. Service is quick and friendly.

The beignets were good, I mean, it tasted as what a beignet should taste like. It was very fast, but they rushed the thing. It looks like they just took a cup of powdered sugar and threw it into the bag. There were big chunks of powdered sugar and it was just messy.

We tried the beignets which were fresh, piping hot and delicious! First time trying beignets and they were a lot more dense than I expected but delicious nonetheless. Had it with the frozen cafe au lait which is sweetened and that was refreshing! The cafe du monde location at the airport offers frozen mocha which was even better so I wish they offered it at the French quarter location too. We went during a time that wasn't busy and service was very quick. Note that this place is CASH ONLY! Also, if you want to buy some beignet mix to bring home, they sell them online at target and Amazon for cheaper than any place that sells it in the French quarter or MSY airport and you don't have to lug it around in your luggage.

First time in N.O. and I was so excited to go to Cafe Du Monde and get beignets and this location did NOT disappoint. The beignets were fluffy and the Cafe au lait was amazing! 5 stars for service and deliciousness!
