Have to come here every time we visit Carmel. It's a real French bakery, everything is really delicious.

Authentic French bakery if i may. Great service and great food. You can take the food to go or eat outside.

It is the most quaint, loaded with simple French country elegance place this side of Paris... I've had the breads, definitely the seeded is the most amazing, the croissants, I'm a traditional, provincial Frenchman at heart so I always get the Almond with a double espresso but the rest are amazing, they have extremely decadent morsels made by God himself I'm fairly certain ... you must try at least one (your life would be wasted if you miss this opportunity while on earth) the highlight of my trips to Lafayette is the most beautiful woman with a French accent ....sa voix est le chant des oiseaux.. Live while you're Alive

This is the best French bakery we have been to in the US. It doesn't specialize in Macarons, they have a few, but everything else is really good. Fresh made bread as well. Great for breakfast as they have some pre-made egg sandwiches and a few other items. Came back here 3 times.

This bakery was delicious! We tried about five different items, and our favorites were the chocolate macaroons and the croissants- but everything was delicious! What makes this bakery even better is the friendly and outgoing staff! This is a must-stop through the area!

Simply and most definitely Fabulous & Very French...the pastries are right out of France...buttery, minimal sugar and full of real flavors...if you know real French pastry here it is...The lattes are very well done...I asked for little foam and voila got what I ordered. A great shopping center spot in busy Carmel...

This is a difficult review since I want to encourage the too-few bakeries in the area but I can't give a pass to a business that needs more work. I'm judging them by their croissants. On a scale of awful (Safeway, I'd have to be starving to eat one) to perfection (Emily's of Santa Cruz on a good day) they're OK which isn't good enough for a French bakery.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS. Service and food are horrible. I found a small hair in my quiche. When I tried to tell the lady behind the counter about it she asked if she could take the quiche to the light where she could see better. When she walked away from the counter she picked the hair out and threw it on the floor and said she couldn't see it. When I asked her why she did that she kept saying that she was inspecting it. Instead of just returning the quiche, she wanted to argue with me in front of her customers. It was an unnecessary spectacle. Even if they didn't believe me, why not just return it and leave it at that? That should tell you a lot about their customer service. The food was not good and the customer service was even worse. Give any other place a try. Somewhere that will appreciate your patronage.

After all the positive reviews I expected to get a decent croissant. Sadly we were very disappointed. The croissants were dry, and seemed almost day old. Not the buttery flakey pastry I was hoping for. Service was ok. I would not come back here if you want a yummy croissant

Absolutely rude young cashier. Tasty pastries but such rude encounter by the cashier that we will refrain from going there again.
