We were first time visitors of Carmel-by-the-Sea and we were brought to this place by the food tour guide. We had the quiche with salad and we were so impressed that we came back on our last day and ordered the quiche and avocado toast. Both were very fresh and tasted amazing. We certainly miss that sort of quality in Illinois.
We also came back few hours later for ice cream and cappuccino. Highly recommended place to visit.

Average place at Carmel beach. Most of the items that we asked for were not there and they billed it.
We have to do alternate selections while picking up our order. There is no coordination between the order taker and the order issuer. Both don't know what is available and what is not.
Even the taste is very average only.

Nice, clean shop. My mother got a BLT here and said it was some of the best she’s ever had. We both also enjoyed our pastries, although I wish they’d offered to heat them up for us, considering our meals were dine-in.
The reason I removed two stars is because I ordered their house soup, which comes in one size and costs nearly $10. What I received was a bowl of clear, unseasoned broth with boiled chicken, onions, and cabbage. I truly paid $10 for the kind of food you would find at a local soup kitchen. This was war camp soup.
TLDR: get a pastry, skip the soup.

Excellent food and a great location. There was no wait. We had the sweet French toast, avocado toast, and quiche Lorraine. This place didn’t disappoint at all.

The breakfast sandwich I ordered was probably the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had. That, plus delicious coffee made my stop at Cafe Carmel so delightful. Definitely on the pricier side but well worth it considering.

It's about 65 degrees and breezy in Carmel today. It's Monday and the crowd is light, no one else in line. The door to the café is open and it's cold inside too, yet I decide to stay, the Panini looks good. It was! The order taker at counter provided service that was perfunctory, yet the Square terminal she's spins around to me asks me to tip. The person who brought my food to my table 15 minutes later was more pleasant. I really wanted to stay for coffee and one of those delicious looking pastries but I needed to get outside to warm up.

The cafe smelt amazing inside! I had the homemade granola with fruit and yogurt. And my boyfriend got the smoked salmon bagel. They were both delicious. He really enjoyed his latte and I enjoyed my nitro cold brew!

Nice spot to stop in this beautiful town,I wanted a capuchino for the cold afternoon and I was surprised by a very generous chocolate croissant. Didn’t try the smoothies or sandwiches but it’s cool to see the grow their micro greens there and you can see them being prepared fresh
