Café Carmel

Disappointing. Card machine broken. Vanilla ice cream run out. Pepsi over half ice and hardly any Pepsi. Chocolate ice cream poor. Lemon cheese cake heavy and flavourless.

Best coffee in Carmel. Amazing pastries. Very friendly staff. Cozy shop.

Food looks good in pictures but very tasteless. I ordered the breakfast burrito and all i got was stuffed potato. When I arrived I wanted to sit down and the only available tables had food and plates on them with no people and were like this until I mentioned it 2 times if i get a table cleaned. The bakery I can say is good but the costumer service is awful. The guy that works here I asked him for my cheese danish 3 times and he kept saying he would bring it to me and never did. Unbelievable, not worth coming here.

Cafe Carmel is exceptional! Lovely pastries and desserts. Wonderful owner head pasrty chef (Sarah Cook) and lovely staff. Cafe Carmel is a wonderful supporter/partner of Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, a local senior dog rescue!

This place could definitely be better. My wife and I ordered two mochas of which cost 15$! The biggest problem was it tasted like weak warm chocolate, not even hot chocolate 👎🏻 The guy behind the counter was distracted and mumbled everything. Definitely not coming back

Great place to grab food to eat either in the cafe or on the beach. Pastries galore. And their sandwiches and wraps are pretty darn good too.

I had the Eggs Benedict and they were the best I ever had. Fresh ingredients. Nice staff, they let us have breakfast 10min after the cutoff time.

We asked for Rasberry stick and were given pineapple stick. The pastry tasted bad and as though it was days old. Will not recommend!

This cozy and artistic coffee shop plus has always been my favorite, however today when I asked for an iced oatmilk latte and they made it hot the young woman at the register was less than hospitable and when she rolled her eyes I then said, simply pour it over ice and as she was aggressively articulating to the Barista (with an UGH just make it over!) $26.00 coffee tab for 3 and 1 pastry! Unacceptable!!!! Carmel Roasting CO. it is going forward!

The desserts are amazing here! Truly European in type and quality. We've had several different kinds and loved them all. The coffee is a 3/5, and the shop atmosphere isn't the best. I would recommend grabbing a sweet treat and taking a stroll out someplace more inviting or in this case more scenic. Staff looked exhausted and not particularly happy to be there, though we did receive pretty decent customer service. Giving this place a 4/5 for the best desserts I've had in Carmel!
