Best in America for me. It is whatever they have baked at the time but always the best. šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹ā¤

Breads, macarons and fruit brioches were all top notch and fairly priced. Service was exceptionally nice.

Disappointing! It looks good but looks are deceiving. I ordered ham and cheese croissant and a shortbread cookie. The croissant was heated in their microwave. It was warm around the edges but ice cold in the middle. The cookie was stale. Since my order was to go, it wasnā€™t worth the drive back to complain. My partner had a similar disappointing experience with her macaroon. She thought ā€œI guess they donā€™t bake things there...ā€ Also be cautious. The person who waited on us also handled the cash transaction. All three employees did this and none of them washed their hands. I really hadnā€™t thought about it until I started feeling nauseous a couple of hours later.

Very difficult to rate this place. The food is amazing and the staff super friendly and helpful, but whoever designed the logistics in this place thoroughly failed his job. Virtually all service streams cross each other with the counter in the middle and the staff needs to make up for the poor organization by constantly walking extra ways. The place they heat up your quiche is on the oposite side of the store where the quiches are, and so on. Expect to spend 10-15 minutes waiting because of that. Food and environment are however great. Best croissant i had in a long time. Bread looks good too.

I saw some amazing pictures online, but sadly that was not the same experience I had. When I went in during the early afternoon on a Friday they had 4 random loafs of bread on display. One pastry case was empty, another looked like it was a closeout sale, and the last one with the baked items looked picked over.

Gone is the day when you have to go to a bakery before 9am to get the best items. They should be able to offer a selection of cakes, pastries, and baked items. Some items only last a day, but many others last a couple days. This I learned from experience as a pasty chef. This gives your customer the same great experience all day. At least 4 people came in and left during my visit due to a lack of basics.

The eclair I had was delicious. The vanilla flan was not good. It was bland, chewy, and had no flavor.

Sadly I think Iā€™ve had a better experience and better quality at the Safeway bakery.

We come here for breakfast on Sunday when we visit Carmel. They're savory and sweet baked goods plus quiche and sandwiches

NOTE: some of these reviews are regarding the sister restaurant in Carmel, NOT the small, non-full service bakery at this location. Please bear this in mind when reading the reviews.

I'm surprised this French bakery has not been reviewed more often as it is so seemingly authentic and such a rare find! Every time we come to the Central Coast, we stop here, and it does not disappoint. The variety and quality of baked goods is impressive. Keep in mind, you should come fairly early or you might not get what you want. Seating is limited but stick around and a spot will surely open up. Enjoy!

An authentic French bakery with wonderful breads and pastries. Recently bought an assortment of mini tarts for 2 friends celebrating their October birthdays and they thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the lemon custard tart which was the group favorite! Thank you for a tempting assortment of exquisite desserts, always a wonderful selection. Hopefully, on my next visit you'll have my yummy and delicious Brookies availableā™”ā–Ŗā™”ā–Ŗā™”
