Pastries are so yummy-can't wait to try their cakes and savory fare. And of course, my toddler loves to wander around the beautiful outdoor area at the Barnyard! Lots of little paths and walkways to explore!

Best place around there for a baguette, and it’s nice that they offer different sizes in their various breads, from petite to large. Try the chocolate decadence slice for a touch of France—good quality chocolate in varied textures.

A popular bakery for the young and old. They have sweet and savory croissants and croissants filled with tasty ham and cheese that were a hot item. I was fortunate to get one of the remaining two. They had fruit tarts and pies and a large assortment of coffees and hot teas. Friendly behind the counter service too. Seating inside and a few tables outside. A nice place to treat yourself with very reasonable prices for what you get. I highly recommend Lafayette Bakery & Cafe!

FANTASTIC Family owned, incredible authentic FRENCH BAKERY. So nice to have this lovely place, I have yet to eat ANYTHING that is not fantastic, my twin boys love to visit and ask to visit everyday. Talented bakers, delicious meals, and wonderful coffees. We appreciate this quality of bread and bakery in our town!

Best baguette In the central coast! My favorite items are the baguette sandwiches, simple and perfect. I like to go here before heading to The Refuge to soak, and sometimes go afterwards as well. Quick to pick items up, and in non COVID times they have a few tables inside, as well as a front and back patio.

Super cute place!! Loved it. They didnt provide a place to sit, but there is place to sit outside on the walkway for the shoppings there. The people were very friendly. The food was good as well, a lot of choices so it does get a bit overwhelming. But you have so many choices in the mean time as well.

Why wouldn’t you go here when you go to Carmel? Either the bakery or the restaurant in the town. It’s a lovely, laid back French bakery in “the barnyard” which is across Hwy 1– delicious really. The food in the restaurant in town is very satisfying. Our must-go place every time we visit from the city. Love the baguettes, the pastries and everything else!

This place was recommended instead of our usual bakery in Pacific Grove. Well what a disappointment it was. Service was very much a disappointment as well as the ham and cheese sandwich. We came to order bread and there was none at 10:30am and they close at 4:pm.
When we asked if they had any other breads coming the answer was I don’t know, she did not even offer to find out. I was not impressed and definitely not on my list to recommend to anyone. Seriously think before you go to this place. Yes they may have a lot of positive reviews but the hundreds of people that have gone before are most likely tourists that will chalk it up as a mistake.

Today I have been waiting for my turn to get a sandwich at Lafayette Bakery in Carmel. The guy working the counter has been on the phone texting having gloves. He DID NOT CHANGE gloves and grabbed my sandwich!!!!!!
What are the requirements for CORONAVIROUS in this place!!!!!!
I will never come back there and if you want to eat in Lafayette Bakery be prepared to get SICK!
Absolutely Gross.
