3 stars just for the coffee
but -2 stars cause they can’t seem to properly toast a bagel. even if you ask for it double toasted, it still is a cold bagel. lol no effort to even try to fool ya

Black Rock is the only coffee stop I'll make besides Dutch Bros, and the fact that I have both choices again here warms my PNW heart! The staff at this location are absolutely remarkable, they're friendly without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and seem to know when you want to chat vs. when you just want your freaking coffee. Hands down my best coffee experience since moving to the Valley!

The baristas are so awesome. They are always so friendly and upbeat. The drinks are amazing. I love their turtle blended with raspberry and coconut.

Black Rock Coffee is a trendy and upbeat take on a coffee chain. It caters to the newer generations and has a modern atmosphere inside the store. Old, grainy wood walls and rustic materials used all throughout. Overall the coffee has simple but tasteful choices and tends to be great for when you need an early morning kick or an evening lift up.

This place just opened and I am into it. It's just off the 60 near the Sprouts on Higley and Southern, so if you wanna get your shop on and then cruise over for a coffee, it's ideal. Speaking of which, I'm an Americano kind of girl, and so far, Black Rock does not disappoint in the espresso department. The drinks I've ordered have been smooth, delicious and with no burned or acidic taste you sometimes get when a shot isn't pulled properly. A great place to hang out, study, or relax. I love the big open walls and the constantly changing music. The drive thru is a great option too.

It was a nice little coffee shop. The coffee was great for what I paid. I did feel like the menu was a little limited. And the size to pricing ratio wasn't as great as Dutch Bros. But overall. It's a nice little coffee shop to chat with friends or to work on homework.

The place could be more laid back.
People would drink more. Coffee flavor quality better than Starbucks.

Music too loud for conversation to be had without yelling. I fought the urge to plug in my mobile device or leave. Several customers attempted to mingle but the loud music discouraged anything but a brief exchange.
When trying to order, simple, no syrup type coffee drink, got the impression I was the rare order or that they didn't understand what I was communicating. Told the counter person several times and felt as if the add-in ingredients were her goal. How else is the place going to meet payroll and overhead withe 5 or 6 employees standing doing nothing behind the counter? It was Sunday morning mid morning.
Had a scone from the pastries case. Mine was quite dry.
Would like to see this place do better at this location. Any way to give it a feeling that is less sterile? Coffee isn't always about getting a quick jump start. Coffee is social.

Black Rock is the bee's knees. First time I came across Black Rock was up in Portland. Had the Mexican Mocha and instantly enjoyed it much more than any other coffee place I had previously been to. Now I get the Mexican Mocha Chiller with an extra shot pretty much year round here in AZ. Perfection. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Quality coffee.

First time trying this place. Very cool modern vibe. Staff are super friendly. I had an iced Mexican Mocha with almond milk, no whip. Goodness it was delicious with subtle chocolate, cinnamon, almond and coffee. Yum!
