The Waters of Minocqua

Great stay Breakfast was Long enough that we were able to have a Long day and sleep in the next morning with out a fear of missing breakfast. it was nice and quite by our room even though we were right next to the lobby. one complaint is that there are no bathrooms directly connected to the pool which makes it hard to get back in when you forget to grab your room key when you get out to go. the staff was vary kind and nice our whole stay!

Just went to the water park for the day. Nicely run with friendly people and good service. Had a pizza and cheese curds for lunch which was great and didn't take long to make. Fun day.

The good: the lobby was very grand and cozy and the event area was beautiful and an amazing setting for a wedding. One staff member (Evelynn) was an absolute delight and went above and beyond in every way possible to make sure everything went perfectly for the wedding. The coffee shop was awesome and the continental breakfast was a nice spread that was available much later into the morning than most hotels.
The bad:Our room wasn't ready until nearly 5:30(check in is at 4) and the room was awful. We found garbage from the previous guests under the bed,despite there being 4 staff cleaning the room when we got to it. The room was so outdated and poorly maintained,that I would have been dissapointed if the room was half the price. The vanity sink was leaking onto the carpet for at least a week judging by the smell and all of the caulk was way overdue for replacement. I can't believe they charge 150+ for these rooms with a straight face.

I don't think this stay was worth the money. Overall the hotel Is nice and I'm sure when it was new it was great. But they are letting things go. We upgraded to the loft suit to accommodate 8 of us. We slept in the loft and the kids downstairs. The loft was so hot and no way to control the temperature. Had to keep the temperature at 65 downstairs so it didn't overheat upstairs the second night. The cieling fan should have been up there. The sofa sleeper was terrible, the matress was so worn out it was like sleeping on springs and sitting on it you sunk in and it was so uncomfortable. The 3 queen beds were way to soft. Continental breakfast was typical, not great... waffles were dry. Water park is small and definitely for younger kids.

Our room was clean, but the toilet rocked on its base and was not securely installed. The guests next to us had several children and they were quite noisy. In addition, the people above us were also very noisy. I should have requested a room on the top floor where there would be no patrons above us. To my surprise, we were charged a "resort fee" on top of the hotel fee. We did not use any amenities in the resort, so that should not have been tagged on to our hotel price. The breakfast was OK. Some of the bagels were very stale. I had to throw one away because it was rock hard on half of it when I picked it out with the tongs. I might try a stay here again, but I would definitely ask for a room in a quieter spot.

The staff room and pool were awesome. We stay here frequently and the arcade has been barely functional every time. Over 1/3 of the games don’t work. So minus some disappointed kiddos the stay was great just don’t let your kids look forward to the arcade

Wonderful! We stayed here over the busy Fourth of July weekend. Our dog came along as well. This is the most friendly dog hotel I have ever been in! Our room was on the ground floor with a sliding door walk out patio. This made nightly potty trips so easy.

The room was perfectly clean. Typical things you see at a hotel like dust accumulation or dirty spots on the carpet didn’t even exist here. The room was spotless.

Beds were comfy. We were provided with plenty of blankets and towels for our stay. The fireplace in our room was easy to use.

Our stay was exactly what a vacation should be, relaxing! I highly recommend this hotel!

TL;DR: Don’t stay here unless you have kids with you, like the waterpark idea, and noise into the night won’t bother you. I won’t ever be staying here again.

Pros: It’s spacious and clean enough. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of parking. Nice balcony off the room. Half the hot tub is outside. Good location.

Cons: Everything isn’t actually nice/cared for once you’re up close. The hot tub was full of kids in goggles and floaties treating it like a swimming pool. The walls and floors are paper thin, so all talking, TV, door closes, and steps are easily heard and felt; this is especially bad when adults are hanging out and kids are running around the halls until late into the night and the hotel does nothing about it - bring a noise machine. Our room floor shook and rattle things when we walked around. Uncomfortable amounts of chlorine are used in the pool area.

The waters experience was overall very nice, charming, and relaxing. The bar/restaurant consultant was rude with her behavior. As the consultant shoved her stool into my husband's back with no apology or moving the stool out of my husband's back absolutely nothing. Meanwhile doing her work business at the bar with her boyfriend going through recites from the days business out in the open so anyone can see other people personal credit cards while the bar was filling up with customers.

It started out badly.. large rip in the sleeper sofa and the refrigerator wouldn’t open but we were quickly given a different room the next morning. Very accommodating staff!
Has a skylight in the loft sleeping area that I think should have some type of blind on it so u are not awaken by bright light in the early morning. Other than that great place to stay with children has pools, slides and hot tubs and an arcade …just wish the slides were open everyday along with the snack bar in the pool area but it may have been closed from being short handed with staff..
