My grandparents held their 65th wedding anniversary party at the resort and my family spent the weekend there. We had several room blocked off for us. All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The rooms were nice and spacious and we loved having the patios/decks to walk out on. The Adirondack chairs were lovely and fit the Northwoods/log cabin theme of the resort. Overall, the service was stellar. The continental breakfast could have offered a few more choices, but considering that the resort was fully booked for the weekend, we were happy with what was available. Overall, a wonderful experience and lots of happy memories made possible by the hardworking staff of the resort. Also, a shout out to the bartender working our party. I didn't catch her name but she did an excellent job of keeping us all well hydrated 😉.
Pros - great rate & clean rooms Cons - swimming area has a heavy chlorine smell to the point of irritating eyes, several games in game room weren’t working but still took our credits, pool and rooms could use updating.
By far one of the best hotels I have personally stayed in. The people at the front desk were amazing, the people in by the pool were great. The pool was awesome , and they have a nice little arcade. Spacious rooms with balcony looking over trees. We had a beautiful view. Beds were comfy! Breakfast was awesome, lots to choose from.
Rooms are spacious and clean, could use more outlets by bed for cpap, phones, and other electronic devices, but still nice. Beds and pillows were comfy. Staff was extremely nice. Arcade is perfect size for a hotel & pool, hot tub, & 2 slides are nice as well. Breakfast options were ok (don't expect eggs, sausage, or bacon) and the complimentary coffee was gross, there was only half & half, probably b/c they want you to buy coffee from their shop. All & all I do recommend this hotel we were there for a wedding & it was beautiful & it seemed like a great place to stay with family & kids.
I don’t know why or how hotels/lodges decide who they choose to accommodate more than another guest but I find it disheartening and pretty shady. I booked well in advance with a friend getting rooms right next to each other only to check in and find that I’m a whole floor away from my friend and their family. Not to mention, in a smaller room than I had last time, not the image I booked with online. For the same price on an expensive weekend. I gave four stars though because my family loves the water park and we enjoy the hot tub immensely. Clean facilities, and friendly staff. There was a wedding going on and the pub couldn’t accommodate our large party, which was fine in the end as we went elsewhere and explored new places. We will return, but next time I will insist on rooms next door to family - as I originally requested.
We were there over the Fourth of July. This is the first time we have visited the area and we had a great time. The room was nice and the loft area worked out great for our oldest grandson. Our mini fridge was broken but the staff had a working one in our room within a half hour of us checking in. The breakfast offered quite a bit of variety. The family enjoyed the pools and waterslides. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful.
Rooms were dirty. No carry-ins to the pool area, but the Snack bar was never open when we were at the pool, so we didn't use the pool as much as we intended.
Enjoyed the Nortwoods ambiance reflected in the Hotel. It complimented our golf stay with that feeling of being up North. The price was fair, the rooms were large and clean, and the staff was very accommodating. The only issue I had was with the resort fee. This fee was never mentioned up front. It should be incorporated into your price since, apparently, everybody has to pay this whether they use the water park or not. A lot of restaurants and other motels are doing this more and I think a lot of other people like myself are getting tired of hidden fees. Otherwise, the stay was very nice. Ron Pederson

Comfortable rooms. It's a pleasant place to stay when in Minoqua. The on site Starbucks is an added plus.

The temperature of the room was not easy to control. TV remote was not working properly.
