The Waters of Minocqua

The ladies at the front desk were so nice and helpful! The place was really clean and when I asked a maid for assistance, she was super sweet and helpful as well! We were there just to swim for a birthday party but definitely looks like a great place to stay as well! We also enjoyed the coffee shop on our way out! Highly recommended this place!

Positive: When booking the hotel, I was hoping for a great experience, but they far exceeded my expectations. From the accommodations & guest services to water park & spacious rooms.. this place rocks! The Waters of Minocqua is now a yearly trip for out family! Negative: Nope. It was phenomenal!

Well we ended up having an extended stay. On the night we arrived, for a long weekend, I was involved in a pretty bad snowmobile accident and unfortunately was in the hospital for a week. The staff was very concerned and made sure my wife and daughter were comfortable and needed nothing during this trying time. When I arrived a week later everyone was concerned and made sure I was comfortable. We left the next morning and the staff helped out anyway they could getting us loaded up and headed back home to Rockford. 4 hrs south.
Thanks for taking such good care of my loved ones while I was away. We'll definitely be back next yr.

We drove from Appleton to stay at the waterpark and go to the dog show for our 10 yo grandson. We like to take adventures and he was so excited. We were hungry after the long day and looking forward to having a nice dinner. Discovered the restaurant only served until 8pm on a Saturday night. Very disappointing. The waterpark was geared more toward small children so at 10 he didn't think it was very fun. He put 10.00 in the arcade machine and got ripped off 20 credits! We purposely got a whirlpool tub in our room and the jets didn't work. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was nice, but very minimal. Something hot other than waffles or biscuits for the price of the room would have been nice.

For the price of the room we really did not receive the value. The room was clean but really no service to speak of. The water park hours were very limited, the breakfast was poorly stocked, tables were dirty. no room cleaning service during our stay. The frt desk short staffed and the ones there all seemed to be very new, really didn't have answers to my questions. The work out room was very tiny, very poorly equipped and you had to ask for a key at the frt desk and 2 times i asked they said they were all out but when i went to the room no one was in it, finally had to find a maid and have her unlock it both times. I will not be staying here again. Very disappointing experience.

This hotel was excellent. Such a great location and a gem for sure! The staff was super friendly from check in to breakfast and even the cleaning staff. It was a breath of a fresh air for a hotel of the size and a water park for it not to be ridiculously crazy there on a holiday weekend either. I 100% recommend this hotel. The beds were soft and comfortable and the rooms were spacious and clean the balconies on each room were a plus. Another bonus dogs are allowed too! Take advantage of this amazing hotel while you can from summer activities on the lake, to fall colors and skiing in the winter. They have it all here!

This was our very first time staying at The Waters. It was recommended to us by a friend at work. We decided to try it out and indeed our stay at The Waters was wonderful. Our kids enjoyed the water park , the arcade, the experience overall. It was a fairly decent distance and drive from our home to The Waters. We would recommend The Waters as a place for anyone interested in a little nice getaway family fun time for the weekend.

The hotel was nice and the suite with the loft was perfect for our family . Price was decent . The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were awful. The food at the pub was amazing, the service was slow but you can tell they are lacking staff. The family really enjoyed the pools and slides . Again staffing issues made the slides open late and towels were not always available . We did not mind having to wait since staffing is a issue everywhere right now . Check in and check out were great. We arrived early and our room was ready . Did notice a lot of others having to wait for their rooms after check in time . Coffee shop was wonderful and staff were all very helpful and kind . The breakfast was ok could use more fruit and protein, very high in carbs. My kids had fun in the arcade , but a lot of games did not work and were run down . Prize box’s were not being refilled like they should . Game room needs to updated and fixed . Over all we had a wonderful time on our mini family vacation . Would go again .

Very comfortable beds and the hotel was flexible with us when our travel plans changed due to bad weather. Although the hotel was quite full, it was quiet at night. Only recommendation would be to add sheer curtains with the blackout curtains so you can have light and privacy during the day.

Overall out stay was good but there was a few things that made our stay not as enjoyable as it should have been.
1. Hot tub in pool area did not have functioning jets.
2. Slides were closed on a Saturday during "open" hours and a group of kids were there as well.
3. Conditioner in our bathroom was nearly empty.
4. Side walks and patio by room was not shoveled.
We chose this hotel over others in the area for the pool amenities and were very disappointed. Otherwise our room was clean and adequately stocked otherwise. Staff was friendly .
