We went for a few days for my birthday. Took along our 3 year old and her caregiver. They enjoyed the kiddy water park. Our 3 yr old was terrified of the volume of the games in the arcade, with no way to turn them down. We had a room with 2 beds and a pullout sofa. We didn't get much sleep due to the noise of the heater/ AC unit. The bed was sagging in the middle which caused my static nerve to hurt like heck in the morning. The next night I slept on the pullout with my daughter. But was still unable to get much sleep due to the noisy heater coming on about every 3 minutes. It's cold out so we couldn't turn it off. We went to the lobby at 3m and talked to the lady on duty about our problem. She was a very nice woman. She took extra time to talk with us while she did her work. The over all appearance and cleanliness was beautiful. No worries with sanitizing because Kelly ( I believe her name is) was busy cleaning and spraying everything. Something I have never seen in other hotels. Overall we enjoyed our get away. But wish we could have slept better. Coffee was very good. Pub food was fare for the price and no avocado for the chicken sandwich. Which we weren't told about till she brought it out. And no discount on the bill. Since that's the reason I ordered the chicken.
The water park and arcade was perfect for our 5 year old! Gift shop, coffee shop, bar and restaurant and free breakfast were all so convenient to have! Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Very decorated which made it even more cozy!
Housekeeping could do a better job (check under beds (we had food and little toys under ours) but overall we will be back!
Third year staying here for our family snowmobile weekend and once again happy with everything. Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived on Thursday. Had a little mishap at the pub Friday for dinner which management handled quickly. Ate there again on Saturday with no problems at all, pizza was amazing and best sweet potato fries I've had in a long time! All of the staff was polite and helpful. Really enjoyed my daily Starbucks drink! The kids enjoyed the water park and slides after a long day on the snowmobiles. Also, they added biscuits and gravy to the continental breakfast... Yum!
When we called to make the reservation, I told them we for sure wanted a room with a room with a king size bed. The only room with a king size bed that was available was with a whirlpool, so we booked that. I realize that check-in is at 4 PM. We arrived at 11 AM just to check if the room would possibly be available yet and let them know that we were in town and wouldn’t be back until later that evening so they would not give our room away. When we arrived at 9:00 PM, we were told the only room available for us was a queen size bed with a whirlpool. I told him that we had booked a king! He gave me no explanation as to why we didn’t have the king, he was very rude! The bed was hardly a queen (VERY SMALL)and VERY soft. The bathroom door handle fell off in my hand. The carpet was coming apart in areas. NOT very impressed!
We got a 3 Queen Loft suite, which was very nice. It was a great setup for my 3 year old and my mother, who has Alzheimer's. The front desk staff was friendly, as was the housekeeping staff. The pool area was nice and small, but still fun. The kiddie pool was a little dirty, especially on Sunday morning. The kiddie slide had something that was either mud or poo on the steps, and a bunch of stuff on the bottom of the pool. There were also a bunch of kids on Saturday night in the outside area of the hot tub playing music through a Bluetooth speaker really loud, so we stayed inside. The breakfast was standard continental, nothing special. It was a good night, though.
We stayed two days at the waters. The water park area looked a lot bigger in the pictures than in reality but it was fun none the less. There is a small regular pool, kid area with a slide and a hot tub. The hot tub is inside and wraps to the outside. Sitting outside in the hot tub when it was snowing was amazing. It was a fun time and it was not outrageously priced. There is also a bar upstairs that allows you to bring drinks down to the pool. $6 a beer tho. Many people brought there own. There is a lot of noise in the hotel which was expected, however they were doing renovations in the room above us at 8am. Woke up both days to loud nailing and sawing noises. Weird it was going on during spring break.
I took the grandchildren for a 2 night stay on their Easter break. I wish there was an egg hunt or something. Rooms were nice. But all 4 kids got a bad rash from the water park. My eyes were burning so bad. I went to the bathroom located outside the park doors in the hallway. My eyes felt better out there. But the second I went back through the pool doors. My eyes were on fire. 6 year old ended up with a fever the next day.a locker room b with showers probably would have been a good idea. Chlorine burn ?,, Front desk person was very pleasant. Thank you Will for making me feel welcome! And very knowledgeable! You should get a raise or bonus!!
The waterpark is fun, the hotel is nice the beds are super comfy. The staff is super nice. I love the fact that they have an arcade for the kids in case they’re bored. And they have a little snack bar at the pool which is great. We ordered from the pub restaurant the food was good but it took over two hours to actually get our food. Other than that everything was good.
I booked a handicapped accessible room but when we checked in we were told that they don’t have them available at that motel. There were bars around toilet area but was completely unable to use tub or shower.
Pool area on Saturday was so crowded there were no tables available for overnight guests and completely taken up by day use guests. The sign says children must be accompanied by adults which would be impossible to do.
At a a cost of about 1000 for 2 rooms for the weekend it was disappointing. The kids had fun but I feel money may have been better spent elsewhere.
I do not understand how this place has more than 4 stars. I have never stayed at a more disappointing hotel.
Let's start with the beds. Did someone throw some loose cellulose insulation into a bag and call it a mattress? Most uncomfortable bed ever and I do not say this lightly. We had 2 rooms and every single bed was the same.
The rooms were dirty and not cleaned. There were literal sausage links and other trash under all the beds. The towels were... just nasty spots on everything.
The pub seemingly had no staff presence at all so we went elsewhere.
And lastly, if you're going to have a pool area for kids keep the drunks out of it. This place feels more like a party house for locals than a place to relax. Perhaps try hiring more than 2 employees for the whole place. All that said, the staff that I did interact with were very nice and professional, this is a management problem.
