Give my visit a 1 star. Had to be one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Walking into our room could see visible stains on the carpet that were soaking wet. Found numerous items food and trash under the beds and sofa sleeper. Along with hair and stains on blankets and towels Service, I don't blame anyone directly but being a tourist spot should have more hands on deck to accommodate. Arcade, some were off completely others were on but broken taking your credits and not able to play. Pool, complete let down. Was very excited from the pictures I was shown. Come to see, unsupervised children of all ages. Bullies in the 1ft swim area for small children, and enough alcohol to open a bar. Not safe. Pub was not properly staffed. People playing on phones that hadn't been helped. All hours of the night running and screaming in the halls, with more unsupervised children and disrespectful humans. Breakfast was very limited Highly do not recommend this place to anyone, nor welcome my pets.
Wow this is a beautiful place to stay the rooms are spacious and cozy and the staff is amazing! The power went out for only 25 min and they immediately addressed the situation and got it back on. It’s to bad they have a really lazy horrible work ethic cook in the kitchen named bob he decided that it was okay to shut down the kitchen for the night at 6:45 because the power went out for 25 min super unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous that this tolerated by the owener. There’s over 500 guest most have been traveling or on company trips that specifically stayed in this hotel for the accommodations. The bartenders and sever were amazing and cooked us up a pizza there self. I really hope they find a new cook soon they deserve better super unprofessional wouldn’t want him cooking my food:)
Was coming up to the Waters to have a fun family weekend. While this place supports the family atmosphere, it was rather disappointing. To start the waterpark is very underwhelming. Actually, calling it a waterpark is a bit of a stretch. We spent about an hour there before deciding we had enough. Between the 4 attractions we lost interest pretty fast. Sadly the outdoor portions were closed due to some reason the staff couldn’t tell us. We were actually quite excited for the arcade, and this is where my biggest gripes with The Waters lies. About 70% of the games either didn’t work at all or were just money stealers. So getting tickets was nearly impossible. And the prizes were garbage and mostly candy… in closing the Waters has decent rooms but needs some serious updates in the water park and arcade areas or maybe a full time maintenance person. The arcade was seriously a joke DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. (Broken Machines will take your credits and no staff is on site.)
Waterslides weren't open everyday, but the rooms had lots of space and breakfast was good. Only other downside was that we could not park the rented snowmobiles onsite because the lake was still closed to snowmobile traffic. Otherwise a great stay
We stay here every Mother’s Day weekend two rooms. One of the rooms had dog hair all over the sheets(thinking they were not charged, took a video). And knowing the pool restaurant is closed and bar was not open bought a cooler with sodas and water was told I could not bring into pool area, by a very rude arrogant female. It was also our daughters 9th birthday grandparents, aunts and uncles were all there.
We went for the day to play in the Waterpark. 110 bucks for 5 of us and they had a kiddie pool a hot tub a regular pool and two waterslides. Concessions were available until the lady went on break and never came back. They have an arcade but you couldn't redeem your tickets because their machines weren't working. Waste of money. Kids were disappointed.
No tv or internet, front desk guy was rude when my husband went to ask about it. Half the games in the arcade don't work. Terrible service in restaurant, after a half hour when someone finally came to wait on us, there was a loud argument in the kitchen and the cook ran out the front door. Restaurant manager announced she had fired him and there would be no food. She has no place being a manager. The water slide staircase is visibly rotten. I don't even want to leave 1 star.
The bed was super comfortable so I gave it one star. First off it was the noisiest place I’ve stayed in since I lived in a college dorm. Doors slamming, children running the halls and screaming, and our room was just opposite the snowmobile parking area. Supposedly there is a quiet time starting at 10:00 or so but the noise went on until 1:30AM and later. Apparently there were youth hockey teams causing most of the issues. The “water park” was not much of a water park at all. And to make the stay even better I had I highly intoxicated group of men refer to me as being a “queer.” I know the hotel doesn’t condone this behavior but this is the clientele this place attracts. I’d look elsewhere or even avoid Minoqua all together. Go to Bayfield or Heyward instead.
I was very impressed with how clean the room was. Since that thing called covid happened rooms at a lot of facilities have sufferd. This place seems to have it figured out. Really enjoyed my stay.
My family and I recently just stayed here. They stay itself had pros and cons. Would we stay here again, maybe. When we got to our room the sliding door wouldn't lock and the door led to the parking lot. I talked to the manager and he was nice enough to put us in a different room, and upgraded us which was nice since we had 2 kids with us.The hotel itself is out dated and needs a remodel. The waterpark was nice for my kids but the slides aren't always open and it's open to the public which is fine, but a bunch of teenagers come in with alcohol and hangout in the hot tub which doesn't really make it family friendly. The day lifeguards were not working, teenagers were hopping the closed gate and going down the waterside and making poor choices in front of younger kids. Also during my stay I got a ton of bed bug bites which is gross and very itchy! This is probably the main reason I would consider choosing somewhere else.
