Dust built up on signage and thermostat as you wind your way through to order your food. Kind of a gross thing to see just before you ask them to make your food.

After spending a full day driving down to Vernal Utah from Bozeman Montana, my wife and I decided to go into this restaurant because it was in the same parking lot as the hotel that we were staying at.
We checked their website which said that they were open until 9 PM, since it was only 8:05 pm we went over. We opened the door and an employee that was cleaning a table informed us that they were closed and other employees nodded their heads in agreement, thinking maybe hours were different because of the COVID-19 restrictions we went ahead and went to another restaurant close by.
When we returned to our hotel room at 8:35 we noticed there was a line inside the restaurant ordering at the counter of about six people, as it turns out the employee that we initially encountered lied straight to our face in an effort to get out early.
I guess this manager at this restaurant believes that they make enough money that they can shut down early and turn down customers even after all the shut down from COVID-19.
Whoever is in charge of this restaurant has extremely poor management skills at this is the type of thing that goes on. Luckily there are many other restaurants in town that are looking for business during these hard times.

The foods flavor was good, but cold. We came in an hour before close and they acted like we were a bother to come in. We’re from Michigan and was excited to try something different while visiting. Won’t be coming back next time we’re in town.

Gas, straight gas , their hottest sauce , the habenaro one , is not that hot bud damn is it good. I personally like the sauce on a pulled pork, black bean and rice burrito. Enchilada style. You get to see the food made right infront of you.

4/30/17, 3:30 PM, The only reason I am writing this review is for one girl in particular. Unsure as to why her attitude was not only rude but was unfriendly and unwarranted. I understand everybody has bad days but, if you are rude without a smile on your face even if it is fake you shouldn't be working in the customer service industry. First time taking my girlfriend and her grandmother and they were also very disappointed. 1st girl on the line with glasses was charming and nice but the 2nd girl was nasty to us for no reason. This establishment was one of the best cafe rios I have ever been to but on a slow decline because of people who don't want to work.

Passing through Vernal, getting a big Surprise. My wife and I went out for Mexican fare, and made a most delicious discovery: Cafe Rio. We had delicious chicken, beef and pork enchiladas. I went for the habanero sauce, she chose green. Both were splendid. Great flavors, friendly prices. Most recommended!

Wasnt bad for a first time coming here. Menu was confusing so had to ask a customer how it worked. But was decent food and service.

Horrible service. Told the guy I didn't want guacomole and my husband did. They threw away our food and then when I asked they talked about someone else's order. The chick who checked us out was flicking her hair all over and tolde to sit down and wait for our food. We waited thirty minutes for them to tell us they threw it away. Don't come here.

Called in a to-go order, 1/3 of the order was actually ready to be picked up at my designated pick up time when business was obviously slow. Staff was very careless and a lot of them were goofing off behind the counter. When I received my order the food was cold. I requested that they refill the horchata in the dispenser, instead they brought out a literal bucket of horchata, remove the lid, and started scooping it out of the bucket to fill my cup. Smh, am I having a stroke or is this the worst night I’ve ever had attempting to pick up a “to-go” order? I’m going with the latter.

The food is fresh and tasty! A good option for a quick meal. I love their drink bar with the Mexican inspired limeade drinks and horchata. Homemade tortillas are always delicious!
