I ordered a sweet pork burrito. They gave me a grilled chicken burrito. I asked them to replace the burrito and the girl serving me gave me A LOT of attitude. The second burrito they gave me was again another chicken burrito. So I ate it and left. I got food poisoning from it. Terrible customer service. Can’t even cook their chicken right.

This was probably the worst experience I have had at a Cafe Rio. I had my order be ready at 6:50 pm, and I arrived 10 minutes late, and they still hadn’t started my order. There were 5 take out customers behind me who received their food before I did. When I finally got the meal, I was thanked for waiting, and then I checked my order, which was bleak at best, but I didn’t want to make a scene, so I left. I got home and opened it up, and the order was wrong and very plain. It will be a while before I visit this restaurant again. It was not that busy, so I’m not sure why they had such trouble today. This isn’t the first bad experience I’ve had there, but it was the last of a string of bad experiences that I will be having there. No real customer service attempts to make up for the fact that I had to wait till 7:25 to get my food, and then to have it done wrong was the straw that broke that camels back.

Food is good, but the female employee I dealt with was not only rude, but covered in hickeys and more concerned with flirting with her male co-worker. Not a family friendly environment.

Every single person inside has a shut attitude. Even the manager. This store needs a serious attitude check. I waited months to go back and finally went to try again and they are still the same. If u don’t like customer service get a diff job

Do not use curb side on the app. They make you wait forever and then do not care that is wasn’t brought out when I finally went out. No accountability. No apology. They do not care one bit.

I love Café Rio and just started eating at the Vernal location over the past several months where I found two things Consistently different than other locations I frequent in Salt Lake. The restaurant is very dirty every time I have visited in the last three months and they don’t run the food through the oven the full length.
I watched a girl gather up the food on the edge of the containers which was packed in there and slop it into the lettuce container off of her hands then mix it into the lettuce. I ate there that night but I wouldn’t look at the counter again.
After talking to people I know in the area they echoed the same types of concerns.

Very unprofessional and ill managed. Went in and had the shrimp tacos which are usually pretty good. Out of shrimp AND salsa. What kind of Mexican food place runs out of salsa? Also had the cashier walk off right as I'm about to pay and left me standing at the register with the rest of the employees looking at me like I had a third eye. This hasn't been the first time either. This place is lucky because of its location and lack of other eateries in town.

I usually love the pork quesadillas from here, but tonight changed that. I was eating and found a large vein/artery covered in fat. Overall the mass was as big as a strawberry. I gagged and threw it away. I couldn’t eat anything else. If there’s been this kind of stuff in the meat all along then it makes me shudder.
