Cute coffee shop and super staff

Ordered an espresso thinking that it would be at least decent because of the amount of people there. It was disgusting I could taste that they used cheap beans and they haven't their machine sense they got it. If you need coffee I would advise going to Starbucks because the bakery across from out also is quite bad.

If you are looking for the best coffee in San Antonio, and really something that’s on par with the best the country has to offer, this is your spot.

As soon as you walk into the door the smell of coffee is very intense and nostalgic. I might as well have plunged my head into a coffee sack. The staff were great, the service was fast and the place was very clean yet slightly crowded. I ordered a medium americano black and the coffee was outstanding. I would definitely return to Merit Coffee.

As of right now, this Local Coffee location is my favorite coffee shop in San Antonio. The atmosphere is great. It's very modern and hip. Some may complain that it's a "hipster" joint, but I don't think that's a bad thing. The employees have always been very friendly and helpful. They have never shied away from answering my question about different roasts or brewing methods. In fact, they always seem very knowledgeable and are eager to talk their trade. And the coffee is the best I have had in San Antonio. They really know what they're doing.

I originally sought out Local Coffee after wanting to start trying new coffee shops besides Starbucks. They really opened my eyes to what coffee can really taste like, and have really increased my appreciation for the beverage.

If you are a fan of coffee, and want a place that can help open your mind to how coffee can be enjoyed, I highly recommend Local Coffee.

Outstanding service and coffee: I had Turmeric ginger chai, and my hubby ordered vanilla latte- both were so smooth and delicious. The only comparable place I know is Barrelista in Martinez, CA

Lately, I feel like many coffee shops just can't get the hang of making a good matcha latte. That is not the case here. Local whisks the matcha powder down fine enough so it doesn't clump in the drink and overall the flavor was very balanced, not too sweet at all. Bravo!

We stopped in one morning during our weekend trip getaway. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. My wife had the oven roasted potatoes. I had a bacon and egg croissant with a side of grits. The croissant was flaky and buttery. The grits were creamy but could use more seasoning. Nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. They have lots of baked goods. My wife tried the sticky bun and really liked it. The waitstaff were really nice. We would definitely return.

Great coffee, tea and food. The atmosphere is really nice, it's a great place to work or chat. The WiFi is acceptable but not great for video conferencing (although it may have been the metal table outside). The patio is quite nice with ample seating. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the music is nicely selected and at an appropriate volume.
