Local Coffee

Bought the seasonal spice latte which was good. The mocha was just fine. The coffee shop is in a good location though.

The atmosphere is really nice and the staff are extra friendly, but the three stars go to the lack of milk options. I don't know if they just happen to have run out of milk that day or is it the staple of the place, but I was given those options for milk: oat, almond, and lactose free. I drink either fat free or 2% which weren't a given option. I chose almond milk but I still didn't end up enjoying my coffee because neither options were a preference for me.

(Edit: Updated review. Depending on the time you go, it's not too busy, but expect a wait on the weekends. Totally worth the wait though. There's both inside and outside seating or you can opt to take your beverage with you while you explore The Pearl. The baristas are always friendly. The espresso is delicious. I'm a huge fan of their chai tea latte and honey latte, but lately I'll get a simple oat milk latte. They come out with really cool merch. Their cinnamon rolls are excellent and different from what you'd expect - they're more like a croissant-like dough. It's so nice that there's a Merit/Local coffee in this area.) Always delicious. Longer wait than usual due to this popular location.

Such a great experience here! It was my first time at this store and the handsome baristo Luke was so helpful! In my years i have never seen such hospitality! He was so great I had to leave a review! He was good with my 10 year old too and even showed her how to make the perfect hot cocoa! She was so pleased she convicted me to write a review. Highly recommend this shop! Say hi to Luke for me if you go!

If you don't have a favorite coffee shop then you should give this one a try. From the coffee to the staff there is always a good vibe that matches the excellent atmosphere. No matter time of day you can find it I habbited by common patrons. From the coffee shop reader to the mobile work hero, all are found and welcome to grab a drink and stay a while.

I reviewed Local Coffee earlier. I go in once a week. They know I like their Americano coffee because they brew it on the spot rather than pre-brew. If I'm served Americano immediately at another coffee shop, I'll know it was brewed ahead of time.

Brewsters know I like 1 Stevia with my coffee before I ask for it!

Update, 3/20/2023. Good place to be on Monday mornings!

BURNT coffee bean….. I purchased a hot vanilla latte with almond milk. It was $8, I tipped $2. Spent $10 overall and was very excited for my coffee! It had good flavor, until the BURNT coffee bean flavor came in… just tasted burnt. Very disappointing! Waited about 30 minutes total, in line and after ordering. So 30 mins, $10, and 1 burnt coffee later, I will not be back :( My friend ordered just a hot coffee and his tasted burnt as well. Sad day!

I had a latte and it was really good. I loved the atmosphere and the outdoor seating area!

The coffee was the best. I love local coffee shops so when visiting I had to try this. The location is in the beautiful Pearl area. The person who took my order was patient and offered some suggestions and sold me on an extra shot! The drink was hot, smooth and delicious!

In and out during the week on a Tuesday. They are completely Covid ready. It does get much busier towards weekends. If you're like me and already know what you like and want... enjoy! Good amount of seating inside and definitely outside during the week! Drink up ☕
