GREAT FOOD and Atmosphere! Loved everything there.

Great find. My husband and drove up here on a kid free weekend once and weren’t disappointed. I took advantage of the ripples app and ordered custom latter art cappuccinos. It’s a dollar up charge but fun to do at least once.

I’m a bit hazy on exactly what we ate as it’s been a few months and I forgot to review, but I remember it being delicious. I ordered from the healthy/lighter menu and wasn’t disappointed. Eggs perfectly cooked. I can’t remember what DH got, but I don’t remember any complaints.

This place gets really busy. It was packed when we were there, but the service was great as was the coffee.

It's a very nice breakfast and lunch restaurant. It was fun eating on the patio watching the downtown activities. There was a wine tasting nearby and a few people had obviously been indulging 😆😆😆
I'd eat there again.

Just had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch here! I called the day before to make reservations (I know, I know) and was told they were booked up, but that they'd have a few outdoor tables set aside for walk-ins. When we arrived the owner/host recognized me from the phone call and immediately seated us, even working to place an extra table to accommodate our party and repositioning a sun umbrella for us.

The food was tasty and substantial, the latter being much more than I expected for an upscale, dainty brunch spot. A very nice selection of different espresso-based coffee drinks, as well. I enjoyed their signature Macchiato served hot.

Other than a few service bungles which I assume were due to the holiday rush, it was a perfect experience. We took our time with our meal and never once felt rushed. We'll definitely be back again to try the cupcakes!

We love going to Layered. My family and I go often. And have been going for years now. The food is good and the kids enjoy watching the robot but today’s experience is what led me to write a review. I went today to meet a friend I had not spent time with in quite some time. We sat down and ordered our food fairly quickly. The food was out not too long after. Twenty minutes into us eating, someone came by and asked if we were done with our plate. My friend and I thought it was awkward because we still had a fair amount of breakfast on our plate. 5-10 minutes go by and the same lady takes my friends plate (she was done) and waits by the table for me to take my last few bites. I felt so rushed. Shortly after that we decided to order a round of mimosas and a waffle to share. The waitress brought our check by while we were eating and did mention no rush. However around 10-15 minutes later she told us there were reservations getting ready to come in so we would need to pay. There were plenty of empty tables and no one waiting at the door. I understand the quicker you turn tables over, the more customers you’ll have and obviously make more money. We were there for exactly an hour and 20 minutes. It was not my most favorite experience and I wasn’t aware that customers were going to be asked to leave if they spent more time there than the waitress or waiter would like us to.

This is one of my favorite places ever. The owner is incredible, they have great food and great coffee and their atmosphere is great. I've never had a bad experience here and I've been going since they opened.

They have a cat robot that takes food out to your table. That's pretty incredible. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. Speciality coffee was good but expensive.

The waiter asked us to leave approximately 5 minutes after we paid for our meals while we were visibly still eating and drinking, because "they had reservations waiting"! The 3 of us, each paid for our meals promptly upon receiving our tickets and all left 20% tip before finishing our meals/drinks. Had we known that the service would be awful after paying, I would have left $0 for our waiter and a verbal tip on how to treat paying customers. This was clearly his scheme to still recieve a tip as he knew that his co-workers would be just as unprofessional when we attempted to make a complaint.

As we finished our meals and mimosas, a 2nd employee asked that we please hurry as others were waiting to be seated. We quietly told her that asking for us to hurry was unprofessional as we had not over stayed our welcome, were not being loud or disruptive to deserve that kind of service, and were clearly still eating for our paid for meals and drinks! Not to mention there were very few people waiting and tables were actively being cleared!! They also asked the table behind us to hurry as well.

We were in the restaurant approximately 1.5 hours (30-40 minutes which was waiting on our food and drinks) and enjoying time catching up with friends.

Completely uncalled for service, and the food is not worth the experience! Go to spoons across the street!! Service and taste exceeds Layered's quality all day!

Per another merchant on the Square, this has become quite the norm for the restaurant, so don't let the 4 stars fool you! Make a better choice and dine somewhere else. This restaurant should be considered "fast food" - Once they are paid, you aren't worth servicing with hospitality anymore!

First visit. Rough start as at first no staff member or server stopped by our table after being seated. It was not busy, but after lunch rush, so maybe team was tired and distracted. After like 10mins, a gentlemen that was working on his laptop at the bar (figure a manager or owner) stopped and asked if we had been helped. Told him no and he went and got someone to promptly take care of us. Tried their avocado toast and their ham, apricot and cream cheese toast. Liked the ham one better, the avocado was a thin layer so didn't get to taste much of it. Main entree, Migas and Flat Iron Steak sandwich were ok. Will definitely give them another try and we definitely want to try their coffee.
