Overall not a bad little place. It could use a few improvements and could be much better. The staff and patrons were all very nice.

My wife and I stopped to eat breakfast one Sunday morning. The hostess said there will be a wait. I asked how long. She hesitated with a long Hummmmm as her eyeballs scurried the walls and ceiling. Finally, she responded with an, "I don't really know, maybe like 20 minutes." I looked at my cell phone to note the time and noticed that my signal was very poor. I asked her if they have WiFi. She laughed as she said, "No, this building is like really really old; there's no way there's WiFi here."

To endure the wait, we took a short stroll down the sidewalk to window shop. I found an engraved sign on the wall that said building construction was complete in 1981, which contradicted what the hostess led us to believe. We made our way to the end of the closed shops and back as we finished the wait. While we were sitting in front of the front door and getting close to the 20 minutes, we noticed a party of 6 being seated who we saw walk in as we started our walk down the sidewalk. I went inside to ask if we were called while we were down the way. The young lady ran her finger down the chicken scratch of names on a notebook and found mine above some names that were already scratched out. Thinking that she must have already called my name and we missed it, I asked her if she had been looking for us. She told me that she had not called my name but there was a table being cleared for us now.

We sat and were greeted by a waitress who appeared to be around my age (a hand full of years older than the building). I asked her if there was WiFi and laughed as I explained what the hostess told me about how old the building was. She agreed with the hostess that the building was very old and ensured me that there could not be WiFi in a building this old. It made me lose a little confidence in the staff.

At any rate, we ordered our drinks. The menu displayed cold coffee in mocha and a couple other flavors. My wife ordered a cold coffee as she pointed to the mocha listing. She was later served a clear plastic cup that is usually used for water filled to the brim with ice and black coffee. We laughed about it and explained to the waitress there was a misunderstanding as I lost a little more confidence. However, the drink was quickly replaced as the waitress apologized. We ordered our breakfast, received, it and ate it. It was very good, like real homemade food opposed to something that was rushed from a large bulk order company.

I didn't like where we were sitting. Our table was in front of the register. Throughout our meal, people were constantly standing around our table waiting to pay their bill. While we were waiting for or bill, the buss boy dropped a cup or something on the ground semi-close to us. It soiled the floor with some liquid. He cleaned and moped it very quickly. He then used a rag to dry the floor. The rag appeared to be the same type that he also used to wipe the tables. After wiping the floor, he put the rag back on the counter with the other rags for the tables. I then lost all confidence.

All and all, it was a very nice environment with very nice people. The food was outstanding, and the service was pretty decent. I recommend either adding WiFi service or educating the staff on how to respond to the lack there of, a better understanding of the menu options, and a little training on seating time management, and cleanliness. Despite these mishaps, the good outweighed the bad, and we had a a very pleasant visit. I would visit again if in the area and recommend it to friends who may be in the area.

Really cool place that is not at a busy area and you can enjoy your food and company. The staff are attentive and the place is perfect for me. I hope to visit again.

Wonderful little local Cafe. We missed breakfast, but lunch was wonderful. Their homemade salsa served with chips and sandwiches was amazing!! 100% would recommend.

Cafe Lagos is a great little neighborhood place for breakfast / lunch. They describe themselves as a "coffeehouse", the food is good and prices very reasonable (menus available online). It was a bit crowded with the Sunday "after church" crowd when we were there so we had maybe a ten minute wait for a table. There's a small outdoor dining area available for use when the weather allows.

The Cafe is in a small shopping center off the beaten bath in Lakeway. It's one of those rare hidden gems you find and wonder if you should tell anyone else about or just keep it to yourself - but based on that Sunday crowd I think the secret is already out.

It closes at 4 PM Mon-Fri and at 2 PM on the weekends.

Worst service ever. Older woman with long braid was so rude and lied to us and argued with us without prompting. We were absolutely harrassed.

We have never had this issue before, it has not ever been posted, and only she had a problem with it. We have often brought drinks in for breakfast whem we go but today an older woman with a long braid harrassed us our whole meal about how bringing drinks in is illegal. A federal law. She was very explicit. Without prompting, throughout our whole meal.

We already just agreed and said ok and got rid of our drinks when she mentioned it the first time. But for some reason she kept talking about it. It's never been a problem before and we were not arguing with her about it. She also kept touching us on our shoulders and leaning into our personal space.

It is not illegal, if it was against policy it would be fine, we were not fighting on it, the drinks were gone the first time.

This is the worst service I've ever received. I'm truly surprised.

Love this neighborhood cafe. It's wonderful to walk into a restaurant where everyone greets you, many by name, and remembers your 'usual.' Great waitstaff and locally owned. Definitely support this local gem.

Great little breakfast place. Service was good, food was good. If I lived closer, I'd be there all the time.

Service is poor or non existent. Perhaps tourists are not welcome. This time we had to walk out after sitting with no hello. No menus. No drink order for more than 5 minutes while locals were served and greeted immediately. Very odd and this was not the first time. I will never go back.

The service and the food are superb! We love this place. The atmosphere reminds me the Luke’s cafe in Gilmore Girls, a true hidden gem in Texas.

Sign says seat yourself, but then we were told to get up from a table because there was a waiting list even though there were many empty tables. After 10 min of waiting inside to talk to someone and getting ignored, we went up to a waitress to ask how to get in the waiting list and she just ignored us
