We come here at least 3 times a month. Their breakfast tacos are the best

The best home made flour tortillas. I will be returning to try more of the menu. Friendly staff.

Now on the favorite list!
Will definitely go back.

This place exceed my expectations. Great food & great service. Went here for the first time for breakfast today and was very impressed. Despite the large crowds, they had it covered. They're doing everything a little bit better than Maxine's (waaay better pancakes at Anita's) and still have lower prices. So nice to discover a great, above average restaurant. I'm gonna put this place in the rotation.

Had breakfast and asked to add cheese to my taco. They charged me $3.25 for a tablespoon of shredded cheese!!! That’s a ridiculous price for added condiment!

First visit. The food was amazing. We're definitely coming back.

Lunch in Bastrop. Loved the wildflowers in the back roads we were traveling back home from Oklahoma.

Food was ok, prices are high. $10.95 for Heuvos Rancheros tells you all you need to know.

This was a really bad experience. My brother and I came here for his birthday dinner. The waiter brought us some chips with this tiny little bowl of salsa. The chips were barely warm. They brought us our drinks in a Styrofoam cup from the very beginning of the meal. Most restaurants serve you in a plastic or glass cup until you are ready to leave, then box up your leftovers if you have any, and then offer you a to go cup.

The service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not that busy at all, but it still took over 20 minutes to get our food out. During the wait we ran out of salsa two or three times and were never approached by any staff to offer more salsa or more bowls. The staff seemed to be shuffling each table, like nobody was really assigned to a single table, they just all took turns with tasks. It was kind of awkward trying to understand everyone's role.

The food was terrible. I had the monterrey chicken, and it was cold and disgusting. The dish looked like it had been put in the microwave, not even kidding. The bell peppers were lukewarm, the seasoning was overdone on the meat, but underdone on the bell pepper. The refried beans had zero flavor. The rice was equally bad. My brother had the sour cream chicken enchiladas. They were very bland. The cheese wasn't melted very well, the plate was hot but the food wasn't, which leads me to belive it, too was microwaved.

We did eat all our food because we were in fact hungry, but we got out of there as quick as we could. We will never be back.

Let’s just put it this way … if you prefer your steak meat well done and your salsa to be hot then this is a place for your palette. I myself prefer my steaks medium rare and a salsa that is spicy but not overly hot where one can’t taste the other ingredients. I love Mexican food but I wasn’t too impressed with the chicken enchilada … you can tell that whoever cooked the steak didn’t know how what he/she was doing … my steak was sliced 4 times. I presume it was to cook it faster but when you do it that way, there’s no way it will come out medium rare. Recommendation, If you have the time and you have a taste for tex-mex, then keep moving down the road.
