Anita's Mexican Restaurant

Truly a Mexican restaurant.
Everything I expected, and then some.
Went there 5 days ago, they have amazing food, and the service was second to none.
We had an amazing waitress the best by far.
Definitely recommend this place..

1st time experience, had a bit of a wait once seated. Friendly and quiet. Some of table felt food was cold. All agreed the BEST thing was the tortillas!

Me, my wife, and son walked in around 1pm. Not busy at all and we were never greeted or able to sit anywhere. 3 young employees working stared at us and continued doing whatever it was they were doing. 2 started staring at us and talking then stared back at us then walked off. So we decided that we weren’t welcome and went down the street to find something else to eat. Another restaurant not far away was extremely busy but greeted us and sat us down right away. We love bastrop and want to try new restaurants when we come in to town but this was by far the worst experience we have ever had in Bastrop.

Very happy that, this establishment has endured, I will return.

Homemade fluffy flour tortillas!!! Service is a bit spotty, but the food is homemade and tasty. Take it easy and enjoy the slow pace of small town Texas (for now…)

The food was good and the service was quick. (Wasn't very busy) the server we had was nice and polite, didn't come back very often but that's me being picky. Food was a solid 6/10, it was tasty but it was warm, but the overall experience was good.

My kids and I ate at Anita's two times during our stay in Bastrop and we enjoyed it both times. Our waitresses were both amazing (Jacquelyn and I can't remember the other sweet girls name) and the food was top notch. Thank you for a great dining experience!

The worst experience i have ever had. I had family from out of town visiting. We arrived at the restaurant at 1pm and the restaurant did not close until 2. They took our name and we waited for 15 minutes. Someone came from the back and told 4 sets of people waiting for tables that they were not serving anyone any longer. No explanation, no management. Being a business owner myself this is totally uncalled for.

I placed an order of street tacos for 60 people. I was given meat that was not carne asada. I. Still not sure what kind of meat it was. The cilantro and onions given were enough for about 10 tacos, very little portion. I called to complain and stated I wanted a partial refund. There was no Manager available so I was told to call during the week. I would have thought Management would have called regarding my complaint and request for refund. I never got a call back. I starred 1 although I would put 0 if I could. I don't recommend this restaurant as they have a lack of customer service not to mention the portions given are not what is expected for catering. If you are looking for catering do not choose this restaurant.
