After traveling all day, I really wanted to like this place, but it was only ok. My husband's fajitas were not hot and the beans were salty. My tortilla soup was good but also very salty. Kid's said their food was ok. Waited over 15 minutes for a margarita, granted I asked for some jalapeno in it, but didn't think it would take that long to cut one up. After waiting that long, it wasn't even that great, it tastes like salty jalapeno lemonade. Chips n salsa was good. I think our biggest mistake was coming in one hour before closing.

Loved the pastor street tacos! The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. I ate by myself today and I didn't feel pressured to hurry or anything. Definitely recommend!!

I have been looking for Mexican Restaurants that make Gorditas. There’s not very many of them. Anita’s did not disappoint me with theirs. They were very delicious and tasty.

It's a cute little restaurant in old town Bastrop. I stopped in at the end of lunch on a Sunday and was seated right away. The house margaritas are good and the salsa a little spicy, the way I like it. I asked them to make me vegetable fajitas which is not on the menu and they made me a nice and filling plate. The corn tortillas are house made and gave the meal a nice touch.

My wife and I ate this morning and the food was great. Fresh and delicious food and wonderful service. We try to come every weekend when possible. Reasonable prices for the great experience we have.

Really good food. Costs a little more than the surrounding Mexican food restaurants, but totally worth it. Everything I've ever ordered has been hot, and fresh tasting. Highly recommend!

Meh. Saw them featured in a video of Bastrop, so thought it was worth a try while we were in town. If you're after authentic "Mexican" and not traditional Tex-Mex, it's probably ideal. If you're craving the standard Tex-Mex Mexican, you'll likely be disappointed. The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms. Food was in my opinion bland, though it was fresh.

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch on a Tuesday. It is spacious with high ceilings and wooden floors in the interior, and with covid-19 the tables are separated nicely. We enjoyed the chips and salsa... I felt the salsa was just the right amount of heat and quite tasty. Service was attentive, and our meal was delicious. My wife had two cheese enchiladas, rice and beans and I enjoyed a beef fajita salad. We also had a side of guacamole. My wife felt that the cheese enchiladas were very good, which is High Praise! We felt that the guacamole was delicious, and my fajita salad was as well. Overall I would recommend this for someone looking for a sit-down restaurant that serves good quality Tex Mex food in the Bastrop area. Parking is limited to on-street parking. Our total bill for our meal including two softdrinks was $32.45 before tip.

Light & crispy chips, housemade tortillas, great tortilla soup.

Can't explain it. Gotta try it to taste yourself . Home made tortillas A+. Soft and fluffy. Service was on point . Definitely will go back. My daughter was amazed.
