Cozy little coffee shop and bakery tucked into the historic district of Bastrop.
Lots of seating inside, a bit out on their patio - but take it to-go and walk down to the river! A 2-minute walk from this spot.
If you follow my reviews, you know I'm on a tea kick and not coffee right now. They use HEB organics for their hot tea selection.
A lot of various pastries to choose from - cookies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, etc. The ginger molasses cookie was awesome! Room for improvement on their chocolate chip cookie though.
They also have sandwiches and other food but I didn't try that.
The people working there are so kind and welcoming. Definitely a spot to check out!
I'll be back for those cinnamon rolls!

When traveling the roads of Texas some of the coolest places are the small towns in between the cities. This little spot in Bastrop was a great discovery. Serious about their desserts and coffee. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I’d imagine this place packed in summer season. Worth a stop for rest and recharge of coffee and sweets.

Lovely little coffee shop in Bastrop. The staff was very friendly, patient, and helpful. The vibe/ atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. I came here once but other members of my family came a few times over the week we were in Bastrop. The whole menu is vegetarian, with plenty of gluten free and vegan options as well. We ordered a handful of menu items and they were all wonderful- half order of biscuits and gravy, a biscuit with peanut butter and jam, and peanut soup. I also had my usual London Fog with oatmilk and it was perfect. My mom raved about the quiche. Cute atmosphere and some little boutique type souvenirs to buy as well. Will definitely be back!

Got a best light quick bite that’s not junk/oily/heavy.

Had some pretzel(hard) bites with veggies and hummus. And the watermelon juice was refreshing addition. A happy complete contrast to coke and fries.

Okay this post is a little delayed, but still needed to be done. My boyfriend and I attended a wedding in Bastrop back in November. I thought for sure I wasn’t going to have many vegan options there, however to my surprise I stumbled upon Tough Cookie Bakery. The first day we went I got biscuits and gravy. Not something I would typically even order, but I thought if I was going to have vegan biscuits and gravy, Texas was the place to do it. 10/10 did not disappoint. I ate there a few other times and also recommended the BLT! It definitely satisfied that craving. Don’t even get me started on their baked goods…it would be very hard for me to not be in there every day buying them if I lived in the area. I bought some sort of peanut butter Rice Krispie treat, and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever had. Can you ship one to Rhode Island? Asking for a friend?

Staff was very friendly and it was clean and comfy inside! You guys are the real MVP.

Check this local shop out! I had the Dirty Chai, Queish, & guacamole toast. Everything was very good & the atmosphere is inviting to hangout with friends or just to catch up on some reading. To top it all off, the customer service was so great, they really know how to make people feel welcomed.

Referred and NO REGRETS.
Vegan & GlutenFree friendly.
So many options to choose from.
Super friendly place, no doubt it’s super cute and all kinds of souvenirs, jewelry, paintings etc. The owner(Chris) was very nice and understanding, & related to my diet options, he helped me decide since it’s NOT easy, ~NOT~ BEING PICKY. 😜
Thank you Tough Cookie Bakery!

Amazing pumpkin pecan muffin, their pumpkin spice latte was delicious, as was their breakfast panini. They make their own in-house coffee syrups as well. Definitely check it out!

My favorite place to eat in bastrop 💛 Everyone who works there is so friendly, they have delicious drinks and treats, amazing specials each week too! They also did our shower and wedding cake as well and knocked it out of the park!

My vegetarian gf gives them 5!

I give them a 5 for trying. I didn't find the food all that great, but I'm also not vegetarian so what do I know? 🤷‍♂️

Seems like in a world of non vegetarian/vegan options this is a shining beacon.

The atmosphere is FANTASTIC by the way, love the patio overlooking Neighbors Kitchen, you feel all tucked away and cozy.

Would echo what other reviewers said and that they didn't seem very welcoming, but idk, I'm not looking to be friends with my cashiers....all-in-all I'd go back again just for the atmosphere.
