Uglie Mugs Coffee House

The shop itself is a great concept with its abundance of local art displayed. I instantly found several pieces to purchase. That charm was quickly diffused by the condescending attitude by the coffee counter girl. Purchases placed back on the shelf and left.
Wouldn't go back.

Don’t waste your time here- “Beads and Brews” was much better with prices, quality and experience. The baristas were rude, the coffee was overpriced and tasted old. Some of us got iced coffee and some got lattes, but all came out looking and tasting the same.

They had a ok cup of coffee but the peppermint had no real flavor

Went three days in a row during my last trip. Ordered different drinks every day. All were very good. Superior to chain coffee shops. Found pricing to be totally reasonable for Avon. Interesting local art and jewelry on display and for sale. Customer service was definitely lacking, which isn’t surprising when there are kids working the counter. However, I was served by an older woman (possibly the owner?) two out of the three days and she was not friendly in the least. Don’t expect coffee with a smile or anything. Will definitely be back next time in Avon though. Coffee and atmosphere are worth it.

Fantastic coffee and great local jewelry and art.

This is a great little coffee shop that was just down the road from our vacation rental, so we stopped in a few times during our trip. I loved the variety of drinks that they offer, from lattes to smoothies and everything in between! The dirty latte became a family favorite as my mom, who is a covid long hauler still struggling with taste/smell issues, got excited that the dirty latte was the first drink she could actually taste! It is chai tea with a shot of espresso and they serve it hot or iced. Something else that makes this shop unique is that they offer local artwork for sale as well as a bead shop in the back where you can make your own jewelry! They also offer a variety of loose teas for sale as well as t shirts and other gifts. Such a fun place with excellent coffee options!

Fun shop and they have pictures painting and many other things to buy to remember your trip. As for the drinks, they're sweet and not very strong coffee flavor.

Was next door at Hattie Built (awesome place too) she recommended and it too was a great place to go! All very friendly at both unique shops! Definitely will return to both❤️

Wonderful place! The inside is so pretty and a little gem. Way cheaper than chain coffee shops and way better. Smoothies are great! Pastries are great! Coffee was great! And there’s all sorts of knickknacks inside. Definitely going back before the end of my vacation!

Super cute lil shop. Hatteras Jack iced coffee and mango sunrise smoothie are the best (IMO).
