Shaw's Coffee is a very cozy, plant-filled local cafe. You can tell they care about the area, the locals, and their coffee! You can enjoy a wide-array of different coffees and teas, and their quiche is awesome! Glad they're in our neighborhood.

Great coffee, super fun atmosphere but limited food selection, not very friendly staff and they don't take cash. I always tip with cash but never tip when forced to pay with a card and then forced to leave a tip or awkwardly deny a tip. Pay your employees better and then they won't need tips.

Historic bank turned coffee shop provides a unique atmosphere heavily perfumed by the coffee beans they roast in-house! The honey lavender latte and Almond Joy mocha (both iced) are delicious, but pricey. S/O to barista Hannah for her friendliness and St. Louis restaurant recommendations!

Hubby and I love finding smaller and more unique coffee locations. This place immediately caught my husband's attention, it used to be a bank and they have the vault still Open. They also grind their own beans and it smelled amazing inside! Those bags are full of coffee beans. The historical aspect of it was beautiful, the service and coffee were great. The smell alone was enough to want to never leave lol. It's a great spot.

I love Shaws, wish it was open on Sundays. They understand coffee and make my Breve perfectly everytime without questions. I also buy their beans and loved the all the varieties of roasts I have tried thus far. The shop is an old bank with beautiful wood work and lots of space. It's my go to place if I want a great Breve.

It smelled delicious when we walked in. Once I received my coffee it was so delicious! The staff was friendly and the shop was inviting.

Real coffee (NO STARBUCKS) that did the job. I ordered a hot cafe caramel mocha and it woke me up and tasted great. Chill laid back spot wh where you can use wifi, have a small meeting or just sit back and drink morning joe

Ordered the bolus and infusion, it was delicious! Even came with a hand written note on it. Very neat place.

I'd probably give it 4.5 were that possible, but given that's the current average and this isn't going to break it, I figured 5/5 seems sightly more misleading than 4/5 is undercutting.
Prices are a tad higher than what I'm accustomed to, but this is St. Louis, not an area with a <60,000 population. My beverage (a cappuccino) wasn't the best I've had, but there was nothing particularly objectionable about it. The decor is probably my 4th favorite of the coffee shops I can recall visiting, but the nearest one of my top 3 is a few hundred miles away. Being the former home of a bank, the interior could be described as elegant and spacious, but there's enough to soften it up between lamps, cushioned seating, and other such features that it was still quite pleasant and cozy. I didn't have any lengthy conversation with them, but the staff that were present seemed fairly amicable. It would be nice if it were open later, but the hours seem fairly typical for the area.
Altogether, I expect I'll be frequenting the place unless another similarly nearby coffee shop blows me away.
