A great little place at the bottom of an office building to get a decent baked bite and cup of coffee. The only small downside which is largely based on personal preference is the lack of robust coffee flavor which my companion and I suspect and assume is due to using a light roast. However the drinks were made very well and they appear to have a solid team in the shop who know what they’re doing and are friendly enough to their guests, plus we found it a great atmosphere to sit, study, and relax awhile which is definitely a plus! Would not count it worth a drive to visit again but would do so should we find ourselves in the area close by.

Beautiful third wave coffee shop!
I’ve been coming here for years and have always appreciated the beautiful array of light roast coffees, friendly knowledgeable staff, and the indoor/outdoor seating.
The single origin coffees offered are always incredible. I’ve never been disappointed.
Park in the back and walk through the large double doors for easy access.
Highly highly recommend!

Great cappuccino! Nutty flavor to the espresso, on the strong side, but not as harsh and acidic as a cheap espresso like “SB.”
A cappuccino is my go to drink for first visits to a coffee shop because it allows me to taste the espresso and see how they treat their milk. Comet nailed it.
They were out of small cups but still put the proper amount of milk in the large cup. Some large chains that will not be named just top off the cup assuming that I would always just want a larger cup. Comet cares about the ratios. Well done folks.

Gluten free (almond flour) chocolate chip cookies are incredible here. The owner is fantastic, employees are always so sweet. I've only ever had the chai (not a coffee fan) but it was delicious. But by far the reason I come here is for the cookies and they are the best I've ever had.

Delicious microbakery and coffee shop. The vegan chocolate chip cookie was incredible. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, rich chocolate chunks, and those delicate sprinkles of sea salt! This is true quality baking. Also tried and enjoyed the dirty chai and the quiche.

Excellent coffee! Stopped by after taking grandson to St Louis Children’s Hospital. I gave them a challenge to make us a specialty coffee that we always get in South Africa. They did it! Really good service, friendly staff. Will definitely go back. Oh, and super fast internet. Thanks so much!

The staff at Comet Coffee are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail. This place is "in the know" with modern coffee culture. The espresso shots are clean and delicious and the pourover was tasty as well. They carry a wide variety of top single origin and experimental process roasters from around the country. A must stop for any coffee enthusiasts traveling through the area.

A true espresso bar! Sump, Sweet Bloom and other coffees are available here and well-prepared.
I ordered a cortado and a cappuccino: the staff was very helpful in selecting a coffee blend for each of the drinks. Both drinks came out just right, with the coffee notes being accentuated by the microfoamed milk (instead of being hidden, like in other places around town).
And they do know how to make espresso. Unlike other "3rd wave coffee" shops, the shots were well-extracted.
A terrific experience and do note the patio has afternoon shade, so it is quite a nice spot for your afternoon coffee.
Definitely plan on visiting again.

This is by far one of my favorite coffee joints in STL. The baristas are always on their game. Excellent choice of locally roasted beans. I'm not usually a big fan of pour overs - they are one of the few places I've been that nail them. But none of that is the purpose of this review. I'm here to talk about their beyond-phenomenal pistachio croissants. It's what you would get if a croissant hooked up with a piece of baklava. Truly delicious. I'm embarrassed my photo doesn't do it justice.

Best coffee in St Louis for sure. I typically order a pour-over and buy some nice beans to take home!
It’s always been pretty busy when I’ve gone and they have limited seating, so I wouldn’t recommend this place for studying for long periods of time, but if you care about really good coffee, this is the place to go!!
