Big Bill's Sandwich Shop and Coffee Bar

Good place with a kind-of limited menu. For lunch and a coffee it's a good spot. Corned beef is absolutely delishous. The homemade chips are also good. Didn't try the coffee but they seem to take a lot of pride in it and many around us were enjoying drinks.

I have yet to visit but heard to definitely stop on my next trip. Will definitely be stopping by. I finally have made it here and everything that I heard was true. This place is right on with the variety of foods that they have. Everyone here was fantastic 👏! The portions of meals were just right and quick. Very good. I definitely 👍 recommend it. Beautiful Galena Illinois truly deserves this little ❤ place to eat. My hats off to the owner. I just wish that it was open just a little longer. That way I could eat there in the evening. But anyway definitely 5 + stars!

Food and sevice was great. We had breakfast there for the first time and it was delicious. Breakfast menu has expanded since I was there last. Lunch menu is also incredible. We always enjoy going to historic Galena and eating at Big Bill's. We can't wait to go back.

Stopped in this morning for coffee. Bob and I split a sandwich. Bob got water and I ordered an iced mocha coffee. The sandwich was good. Their home made chips were awesome. Not to much seasoning. Just the right amount of crunch. Then..... this is when things got weird or even more awesome. The young man who was waiting on us asked if he could top off my coffee. Then he asked if he could put it in a to go cup. That coffee was only 2 dollars. WOW

Wait staff is awesome, and Jack (owner/mgr) is quite conscientious about delivery and quality of food and the customer experience. However, the cook seems less concerned as the orders (4) weren't right, each was missing some thing that had to be asked for - full serving was short and/or rcvd things unasked for, or request not fulfilled (over easy not hard), little things to me, but big to others. Prices were as expected. And really liked the coffee!

Such a great little shop. They serve breakfast and lunch, but we just had coffee and tea. I loved the insulated mugs our drinks came in; we got longer to sip and chat. We will definitely be going back for breakfast and lunch!

When other restaurants in town had a huge wait for breakfast, this restaurant / coffee shop had some amazing breakfast options and no wait at all because it is so huge and quick! The breakfast menu was full of delicious breakfast sandwich type offerings, and extremely affordable. One caveat, you can only order off the breakfast menu in the morning, and then can only order off of the lunch menu once it switches. So delicious and affordable I would highly recommend!

I come in almost every morning, everyone always greets me with a warm hello and a "how are you doing?" I can easily say they have the best coffee in town and they give out a punch card which is a bonus for locals! I recommend anyone to come here! Not to mention the food is freshly delicious
