This is our first time in Galena and we loved the breakfast here! I subbed gluten free toast for their breakfast croissant sandwich and it was delicious. The service was friendly and we only had a 10-15 min wait around 10am on a Saturday! We would absolutely come back here!

Thanks goodness the Victory Cafe is open again! After a long closure to repair extensive from frozen pipes, the Victory Cafe is once again serving customers in downtown Galena. They feature breakfast all day along with a great lunch menu. We enjoyed flavorful omelets this morning, toast, hash browns and great coffee. Locals love this place and when a restaurant is a local favorite, you know it's going to be great. Good to have you back, Victory Cafe.

We were in town looking for breakfast and decided Victory Cafe looked good. Sat down right away. Friendly staff and very quick with the food. I had the miners breakfast with hash browns, sausage links, eggs and toast. The toast and sausage links were delicious. The hash browns looked like they were a day or two old and extremely dry. The eggs were chopped up like a cheese steak, Overcooked and very dry. It’s not hard to make great eggs. I’d say the food came out five minutes after we ordered.

We were in Galena for a night away, we were walking around the downtown area and saw the sign on the window and decided we would come back the next morning for breakfast m, we are so glad we did. We had to park a few blocks away but since it was a beautiful morning we didn't mind the walk. We wanted to sit outdoors because of the pandemic so we waited a little while for our table. We were seated at a nice little table with an umbrella which was helpful as it was a beautiful warm sunny day. Since we had never been there we were unsure what to order so we ordered a LOT of food lol. Everything we ordered was very good, the cinnamon roll was freshed baked and warm. The creme brulee french toast was different than we thought it would be, it was just french toast with a little cup of a custard. The bacon appeared to be thick cut and tasty. The omelet was very good and different than any I have tried and the corned beef hash was homemade and delicious. Our server was outstanding she was right there with anything we needed and available when we needed something. I appreciated that she was wearing a properly fitted mask that covered her nose and mouth the way it is recommended. The only thing that stopped me from giving 5 stars is there was another waiter going table to table wearing his mask so low it was barely covering his mouth.

I had hoped that the newly reopened Victory Cafe would be better than the previous version. I was wrong, it's the same. I had an omelette made with Valveeta! Yuk! There is a limited menu with no substitutions. Also, they don't take credit cards. Our server was nice enough, but if you want a good breakfast go to Otto's or the DeSoto House.

Visited for breakfast….huge pancakes! Typical breakfast fare and satisfying meal. Great service and clean space. Would probably go back.

All was good, just no WOW factor. Everyone was nice. Wife had creme brulee french toast, said it was WOW 😲

Fun spot for lunch. Wait staff was lovely. Chicken sandwich on pretzel bun was good. Had a salad too. Nothing to brag about but it did the trick as we were hungry and ready to continue shopping.

The food was good but the service was horrible looked and acted angry to serve us. And kept looking at me in a discrimination way bc I’m not white.
