Fail. For dining on the main street, we expected so much moor. Other than the eggs, all the good tasted like old and just warmed up. Almost nothing prepared fresh.

Victory Cafe is a real gem in Galena. Good prices, great food and a friendly staff! Try the homemade cinnamon rolls because they are perfect for a quick, sweet fill-up! The place is always busy, especially on Sunday's after church gets out and is usually full of locals which is a great sign.

Place is comfortable but I didn't go there to be comfortable..... Ordered corned beef hash with eggs and hash browns with coffee and the only thing that they got right was the poached eggs- cooked perfect. Corned beef hash was like dog food, hash browns over-cooked and way too crispy and the coffee was awful...way too weak and a funny aftertaste. Really too bad as they are located in a cool spot on Main St but I will never go back there. Meal cost with tip was about $15 and trust me, the egg mcmuffin or breakfast burrito I could have had at McDonalds would have been WAAAAY better AND the coffee at McD's is light years tastier than this place

Went here for breakfast on a Monday morning. Had a cheese omelette and toast. Staff was quick and attentive.
Music was pretty loud for early morning diners and food was pretty average. I don't know if it's the age of the building or it's history but smelled of tobacco smoke for me and really turned me off.

We waited for 10 minutes. We felt like we were discriminated because we were 6 asians. Staff look at us , roam around, mumble or whisper with each other. No host or employees approached us while plenty of seats were available. Horrible!!!

Serves a nice breakfast, waitress was good. Only bad thing is that we had a party of 6 people this included 2 couples and two singles, but they wouldn't separate our invoice so we figured it out ourselves.

In any other town this place would be a greasy spoon but in Galena they serve comfort food with down home hospitality. Our waiter never let our coffee cup ever run dry. You owe it to yourself to grab breakfast or lunch here!

This is our favorite place to eat in Galena. We have eaten here many times and have never had a bad experience. It ia consistently good and the staff is always helpful and friendly.

Yummy local looking greasy spoon spot that great for breakfast with a drink. No nonsense staff that gets your order quick and keeps the coffee full.
