Victory Café

This place has a great Atmosphere great owners and all around great service. The only complaint I have is prices for the quality of food received! When you pay close to 18$ For corn beef and hash from a can 2 eggs 3 strips of bacon and some toast you expect better quality! I get that it’s a tourist town but man it’s honestly not worth the prices!

Great place! All day breakfast and yummy lunch. The best Bloody Mary's!

Ordered the patty melt medium well and it was dried out and not good beef. The potato soup had no flavor. Did not raise it as an issue as food has been good there before.

Food was just ok a lot of flies in the restaurant. The reason for 2 stars is the guy at the register was too busy stacking his receipts to look away or even ask me how my meal was, I had to stand in front of his face for a few moments before he said, be with ya in a moment.....its already been a few moments but apparently stacking receipts is more important than helping customers. Yeah keep counting your money pal because you won't be getting any more from me. First and last visit. Our waiter and check-in employees were both nice.

One of the few good places to eat in Galena, Website down, Facebook page down. Building and/or business sold. Galena is now off our radar as far as weekend getaways. This was our breakfast and lunch place. We will be doing the Brown County, IN thing from now on. No more Galena.

It's a pretty good choice for a breakfast spot. It's a decent sized place so we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The breakfast that I ordered was good and our service was fairly quick. I also ordered a bloody Mary and that was good as well. I was a bit put off when I ordered my food and the waitress asked, "you don't want any meat?!" She was nice otherwise and possibly she didn't mean anything by it, but it was just odd the way she asked it. I would still recommend this place for breakfast.

The customer service was fantastic! They great you with hellos and smiles and coffee brought to your table asap. The food was not quality. I ordered the omelette it came with velvetta and very processed cheap meats. Enough to make me just eat the egg off the omelette scrape the cheese off and pop an enzyme and pray to don't ruin my weekend get away with indigestion. Higher quality ingredients would really benefit this place.

Thank you to Victory Cafe! We got married yesterday in Galena and they were able to accommodate our group of 16 for breakfast in the middle of morning rush today! Thanks Terri, you guys are fantastic!

Waiter sat us down, then sat another group right after us. He went immediately to help them and brought them waters. We still sat there without menus. He brought them coffee...still no menus for us.

Finally asked for them ourselves and of course seemed as if we inconvenienced them.
Another waiter finally helped us out and when he did he was pleasant. Can tell other customers seemed to be annoyed for similar reasons.
Food was delicious, but the service and their seating system could use some work.

My wife ordered an omlette, and half way through eating it she found a piece of paper in the middle of it! It was the paper that separates the cheese slices.

We pointed out of to the waitress, and she apologized, took it away, and removed the cost from our check. She asked my wife of she wanted anything else, to which she asked for some fruit and toast. When she brought the other food and left our check, we noticed she removed the omelette, BUT CHARGED US EXTRA FOR THE FRUIT AND TOAST!

Now, in my opinion, I think we should have recieved the entire meal for free...considering WE FOUND A PIECE OF PAPER IN OUR MEAL! But to still charge us for the fruit and toast was a sorry display of poor customer service and convinced me that this will be our first and last visit to this Cafe.
