Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

The W hotels captured the tag line „wow“. This hotel delivers it. If you’re not staying here, at least eat here once. The renovation continues and will for years. The most of the destination is renewed and fantastic. Life is too short not to stay herr.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic! The staff was phenomenal and the grounds are beautiful. We had the opportunity to dine in the lounge several times and were treated wonderfully. Specifically Armi was beyond wonderful, as well as the nice girl at the check in desk at the lounge…oh, and both bartenders we met!! Honestly, every single staff member at the Grand should be acknowledged and thanked, they are all beyond fantastic. We would come back to the grand in a heartbeat. Fantastic stay!!!

Yes, the rooms are slightly dated, but the grounds, pool, and staff made up for this!

The resort felt old, but they are doing a lot of renovations which is good, so that didnt bother us. We had a good time at the pools(Make sure kids are over 48 inches to enjoy all slides), but other than that it's not worth the price they charge. Food is expensive so you are better eating outside the resort and there are no parking options, so you are forced to pay $65 a night for valet. They charge resort fees which is normal, but there's was way more since it's supposed to include "complimentary" activities that we didn't find out about until the last day. The staff was great so no issues there and went out of their way to help when asked. If I'm going to pay over $1000 night like I have at other high end resorts, I expect a lot more then what I received here.

The staff of this resort is phenomenal! We were welcomed warmly and treated like royalty our entire 20 stay. Our room was located in the Napua tower. Napua is a resort within the resort. The Napua team did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The concierge team including Patty, Faye, Kim, Faith, and Lasa made all of our reservations, answered all of our questions, and anticipated our needs making our stay extra relaxing. The Napua attendants, Armi, Roni, Ana, Ernel, Evelyn, Leila, Tommy, and Mae treated us like family making sure our breakfast each day set us up for another “day in Paradise”
We spent a part of each day at the fabulous Hibiscus Adult pool in our special Cabana. The pool staff and food service personnel were every bit as attentive as the Napua team. Laurie, Poom, and Sachito stopped by each day to ensure our Cabana and the wonderful amenities were just right. Aki, Ryan (Leonedits), Shawn (Sparkle) touched our hearts by remembering our anniversary and birthday dates with extra special attention.
From the valet (Dennis and team) to the bell desk (Belden, Daryl) to the front desk staff (Jaime, Carrie), the people of the Grand truly make us feel like Ohana

What. A. Resort. I’ll be back, and hopefully very soon! From the exquisite details of the landscaping to the personal service and attention each resort employee gave us, to the pools that our kids couldn’t stop talking about… this place was worth it. Mahalo Grand Wailea for always taking such great care of us!

Such a beautiful hotel! The landscaping is just breathtaking. But obviously there’s a high cost to vacationing here.

What an amazing property. The service and staff was incredible. The Luau was fun, interactive, educational, and just all around the best dinner experience we had on the island. Beautiful grounds, private beach, gorgeous pools and great views. What's not to love?!

The service and location of this hotel is incredible! I would however think that the room that I was in 9113 could have been better. The bathroom was fantastic, but the bedroom was just average. There was also a crib left in the room taking up space and we found a hair in the Keurig. The staff very quickly took care of both of these issues while also providing a microwave upon request.

While I felt that the bedroom portion of the room could have been nicer, why would you want to be spending time stuck up in the room in the first place? The island is beautiful and so are the grounds and pools of the resort.

Amazing trip - stay in the Napua wing if you can and visit Tom at the bartending station during drinks/appetizer hour from 4-7… he makes incredible drinks and goes above and beyond!! Will book the Napua wing again just to have him bartend for us. 10/10!!
