Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Amazing resort, incredibly beautiful! Great location on Maui. Great staff, truly like family. Been staying here for 30 years, and it's always the best!!

The landscaping is really breathtaking! From the waterfalls that greet you at the entry to the indoor and outdoor gardens, the ponds and gardens outside, the fountains, the eight swimming pools, and the untouched beach, you are going to be blown away by this place. The breathtaking images are really great! The guys that work here provide excellent service to their customers. Absolutely nothing that they won't do, or at the very least attempt to do, in order to make everything SUPERB!

Awesome place great pool and Waterside but the Water Elevator is still in repair but luckily it will be finished soon by 2023 or 2024.

Go for the pool, not the hotel.

Only real reason to stay here is if you have young kids because of the pool slides. Other than that, the wings with the rooms are very old, the pool itself is pretty much still original, the rooms are OK, the beach isbOK. The snorkeling sucks, service is OK, everything is PRICEY(we knew that having stayed here several times but even more so now), expensive parking/resort fees, food is mediocre, and the room rates are off the charts high for the quality of hotel.

They need to do a serious update the the buildings but they're so busy as it is, that'll never happen unless somebody buys them out.

This last trip will probably be our last until the recession hits and knocks down the rates. $1500/night is too much for this place.

This is cream de la creame of location in Maui.
Valet parking only. Beach location- exellent; room service- on a upper end; beach service- exellent.
Next door - high & medium end shopping / eateries.
Be ready to pay highest price for the location, location, location.

Several small random fraudulent credit card charges appeared on our card while staying there. The charges were not us and when we approached the staff about it they treated us absolutely horrible. Completely rude and acted like we were wrong for asking about the charges. Do not recommend just for how horrible they were treated us.

The Grand Wailea is soooo much fun!

Love this resort! We have stayed here three times now and will definitely be back. Our first time we stayed here it was on our honeymoon, the second time we came back with our new little daughter, and this third time we came again as a family, along with my brother and his girlfriend. This resort is great for couples and for families. You cannot go wrong here.

I was a little bummed upon arrival to discover the main lobby and certain areas of the hotel (including the spa) are under construction, but management was accommodating and it did not terribly interrupt our relaxing time.

The pools are fabulous and the service is five star. Mike, one of the servers at the pool, is our favorite. He has worked at the resort for years and really makes our trip. Many of the staff have worked at this resort for years. The longevity of the employees really adds to the experience as a repeat guest.

I cannot wait to return after the construction is complete. I am certain it will be amazing!

We had a wonderful experience at the Grand Wailea! The staff go above and beyond to ensure excellence. The location on beautiful Wailea beach, the delicious food and amazing facilities all set the stage for an amazing vacation. Best of all was the service we experienced from all of the staff members we encountered throughout the resort. Their proactive positive approach to make our trip the best ever and their kindness will always be remembered.
