Tip Top Motel, Cafe, And Bakery

A friend & I had an awesome breakfast at TipTop. Loco moco fried rice with banana pancakes. Good food, great service & saw some friends while we were there. So relaxing & enjoyable🙏

Always busy and frequently a line but the banana pancakes and oxtail soup are the best. Not the fanciest place but always clean. The employees are quick to take your order and the food arrives quickly. Not a lot of parking but the turnover rate is fast so pull to the side and soon there will be a spot.

If you're reading this review then you're not a local, because every local I've asked has told me to eat at Tip Top. Their reputation is well deserved. My wife and mother-in-law love the Ox tail soup. I have had the more standard breakfast fare and enjoyed it immensely. Definitely stop in if you're on the south side!

Our family went to Tip Top for lunch on 3/08/2019 after it was recommended to us by a local. Be forewarned: this is not a tourist trap, so the food is nothing to write home about...but it is good, inexpensive, and quick. It is a snapshot of Kauai Cafe food- which is EXACTLY what we wanted, because we like to experience a place for the non-touristy things. The portions were generous for the price, and it was all tasty. If we weren't trying to hit as many different places as possible, we would have gone here more than once while visiting the island!

Local Motel and Cafe. Clean, quiet rooms. Good selection of unique breakfast (tasty oxtail soup), good prices. Busy with the locals!

It's a very comfortable place to eat with a large eating area I go there often. They serve Breakfast and Lunch only and close at 1:30 PM for dining. The waiteresses fast and your food selection arrive's and is served quickly.

Not worth the wait. Mediocre food, they just want to get as many people in and out the door as fast as they can. I am surprised this place has this many positive reviews. My banana pancakes were overcooked and severely lacking in bananas. Very disappointing. Only redeeming quality was the sausage. Overpriced for the terrible quality of food.

All 4 of us cleaned our plates. Everything we ordered was great, hot and fresh made. We will definitely go back there and would drive out of our way to do so. Spectacular family run restaurant

I wanted to really like this place but they got my order wrong after repeating myself multiple times. It’s also really crowded and has no ventilation, it doesn’t seem like it’s taking Covid seriously. It was very overpriced considering the quality and portions of the food. The people were nice but the service wasn’t.

I'm giving one star only because the cafe is currently closed indefinitely (apparently you can't leave a Google review without assigning a star). There is a "Cafe Closed" sign zip tied to the front with no other explanation. Bummer because we've really enjoyed this place in the past. I'm assuming it's due to the current worker shortage.
