Skinny Mike's Ice Cream & Shave Ice

One of the best ice cream scoop places I ever had. Even my mom loved it so much she asked me to bring her back the next day. They also have shave ice.

One of the best shave ice places on the island. They don't do fresh fruit like another favorite of ours does, but the texture here is great. Pog flavors mixed with pineapple cream ice cream in the middle is great. Lychee liliqoui with the pineapple cream ice cream was great too.

Fun local spot. They have shaved ice (it was over packed for my flavor) and ice cream.

They also have two booths that are made of boats.

The staff was friendly and quick .

One size shave ice. Got with macadamia nut ice cream. They don't have haupia cream topping. Closest thing is condensed milk which they call a "snow cap". Didn't get it, just the ice cream.

Four stars because it was pretty huge. However, it did come to $11. But it was good. The place is cool... they have a neat bench that was built from an outrigger canoe.

Workers not friendly. Not necessarily mean, but pretty much seemed like they didn't like their jobs. Just a downer when you're out to have a good time on vacay.

The gal working was fun and helpful. Brownie sundae with mac nut ice cream...mmmm. Also, I came here in 2018 and got the S'more sundae and they actually toasted the marshmallow on top and it was so amazing I still remember it 4 years later.

The s'mores brownie sundae was delicately hand crafted, and where else will you find ube and Thai tea ice creams? All three were delicious, and the service was very friendly. The only negative was that we discovered this place on our last night in Kauai and couldn't return.

Great place! We found the best shave ice on the island here. Also, they have the most sundae options I've seen with a huge banana split that was delicious! The smell of waffle cones was heavenly. The girls helping us were very friendly and showed our family much Aloha. We will be back!

Ice cream is A1... just drop the portion size - bigger is not better. Genuinely would pay pretty much the same for half the amount, or just offer smaller portions. Whoever Mike is - he ain't skinny.

While the ice cream is fine, the shave ice was disappointing. The syrups are very artificial tasting compared to some other places for shave ice on the island. And when I returned within a few minutes (literally 5 minutes right outside the shop) to get something different, the employees acted as if I was bothering them again. I am not saying that I wanted a free replacement or anything, but some acknowledgement would have made me feel less awkward and like a nuisance.

My family emencly enjoyed visiting Skinny Mike's! The Gourmet Hawaiian Ice Cream was extremely delicious. I am a huge Butter Pecan fan and was in heaven eating this there from an equally delicious homemade waffle cone. The nautical theme was loved by all the customers sitting in the boats and we loved taking in the views of Kauai and relaxing with our family from their patio. Fun place!
